How Much Is a Retail 2018 World Cup Match Ball Worth?

I just want to know if the ball is worth any monetary value. Is there a price charting for balls?

The ball is a Telstar Adidas 18 match ball for the 2018 world cup. I've Google. And eBay. And the still have no idea. Last resort.

    Ball park figure

    • eBay has sold for 800 plus

      • There’s your answer then.

    • Also referred to as a 'soccer field figure' here in Australia

Standard retail purchased replica ball? Probably nothing.

A ball used in a match with certificate of authenticity? Whatever some collector is willing to pay for it. Could be $50. Could be $5,000.

    • Othing special. No signature. Just a retail ball

        $60 brand new.

How is it a World Cup "match ball" if it wasn't played in a World Cup match?

        • Its name is match ball

          • +1

@ilove: Worse than that, the name on that eBay ball is "official match ball". I guess "match ball" means something different in Russia.

            • @AustriaBargain:

              means something different in Russia.

Yes. If you complain about ball we will match you with friendly associate.

  • Which match is the question nobody has asked.

  • is it unopen in its original packaging?

    • no.

      • +3

Retail ball, never used in an actually match, not in any packaging… $10 on Fartbook or Scamtree and just be happy if someone actually sends you a message.

  • Whatever some sucker is willing to pay for it. Standard retail ball: I’m gonna guess, not worth selling as there’s so many out there.

Side note: do you know why they make these ‘collectable’ replicas? It’s purely to liberate you from your money in the hopes next time round you’ll get another one and another. The only reason pieces go up is because speculators think they’ve got something special and suckers buy them at inflated prices. Let’s the kids kick it around until it dies, it’s not special.

I see solds for $800. I am keeping it. I'm just wondering if the ball has retained any value.

    • +2

Just chuck it on eBay for $800 and see if there are any suckers buyers?

    • +1

Your used ball in no packaging thats never been used in a game is worth $8…

    • If you’re not selling it, it’s worth nothing - perhaps except some for of weird emotional bond.

Depends. Are you buying or selling?

    If buying, about $10.

    If selling, about $2,000.

  • Did you buy it for $2 here?
