    Thanks mate. They only mention "You may also need a photo of you holding an ID" in instruction.

  Im sure with Australia post like others dont include a picture of oneself, though one thing i hated with Australia post it included a date of birth unless things have changed

  Some of the id’s will have your picture on them. Eg. Passport, drivers licence.

  You can’t block the pictures and then send them.

  Category 2 must be supplied (no substitutes from the other categories). They have your picture on them.

  do you mean, you holding up the card in front of the camera? pretty sure it's just a scan of the front and back

    Thanks heaps. Yeah, that what I mean a selfie (a picture of me holding up the card in front of the camera). Does Auspost need a selfie together with IDs or just a scan of the front and back as you said?

  I've always applied for national police checks online directly via the AFP portal. and never required a picture.

  However, if they say they need a selfie of you holding the ID I'll not be surprised, I've been asked to do the same a couple of times when signing up for neo banks.
