  • What's the normal price?

    • Hi, $5,750 is the normal price.

  • +3

Do you do em with off grid inverters?

    • Hi mate. No sorry, not at the moment!

  • Quick question - the Solar Victoria Interest-Free Loan- when does this needs to be paid after the install ?

    • Paid monthly for 4 years

  • How much for switchboard upgrade?

And have you got any of the Jinko 545w, 550w or 585w panels?

    • It really depends on the work required, if you could send through a picture to our email addres, we'll be able to let you know!

    • +1

We do have them in stock, but they are commerical panels which may not be suitable for homes.

  • How much extra for 3 phase meter?

    • Sorry for the delay. Please send us a picture and we come back to you with the price.

5kW inverter means that even if the system is capable of producing 6.65kW, the output to the house is capped at 5kW?

    • +4

      yep

    • +3

That's the general idea, to oversize the panels vs the inverter - have a look at solarquotes.com.au. Unless it's a fully sunny day, the panels won't be working at 100% anyway.

    Hi rep!

Do you use your own electricians or contract out to the lowest bidder? I only ask as I can't see a single photo on your socials of a branded work truck/van so I'm making some assumotions here.

Your ABN (which was conviently pretty difficult to find on your website) lists your main business location as QLD yet your website has a Victoria address listed, Business name was registered in September 2018 and all your reviews on solar quotes are from mid 2020 onwards. I smell a future Phoenix…

    • +4

Reading there T&C's they say they will install or procure from a contractor. Unlikely they are Electrical Contractors or CEC accredited designers or installers. Couldn't find any details of licensing on their site. In QLD electrical contractors must display their licence on their website or any advertisements (with some exceptions https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/news-and-events/newsletters/…)

Would be nice if there was a set price list to all panels and inverters everyone is selling so it would be easier to compare what sort of deal you are getting.

    • Yes, that's how business works, great point

  • I've gotten my solar installed by them, still working well. Asked for a battery quote 4 times over 2022 after solar installation and they never responded.

    • +1

Battery installation is another endorsement on CEC accredited installers, likely they don't have someone as there is very few out there. Battery installation for domestic properties still don't have great payback periods, usually 8-10years and by the time you do, you might be up for a new battery anyway.

This space could rapidly change if Electricity retailers provide better Feed in tariffs for people with batteries but that's unlikely to be seen until around 2025.

      • +1

Yeah, I desperately wanted a battery, but couldn't make it make financial sense. VERY niche case for them.

        • Mostly just a nice to have at this point. For in home use it's just not yet viable.

  • Can you do the same in Adelaide as well?

  • +1

I've had two systems installed by Pristine in Vic and have recommended them to friends who have proceeded to install. Quote process and install have been great. Installer is very knowledgeable and does a neat job.

  • Pristine installed solar on my roof about 3 years ago and it still works fine. I'd recommend them.

  • would you recommend a battery if im paying 850 a year with 20 panels? low usage household, LEDs, 1 fridge, no pool

    • +1

20 panels doesn't mean much. What kW size is your inverter and how much kW are you producing on average?

    • Batteries really only become a useful thing if you've got constant short power outages.

      • Many home battery systems don't have an "off grid" mode - they won't power your house when the mains power is out.
So you need to choose wisely if this is a feature you want.

  • @Pristine Solar how much for microinverters?

  • Can you advise the differnce between Fronius Primo Gen24 5kW and Sungrow Power SG5K-D ? What is more recommended for a townhouse( a land with two lots) ?

    • @ Pristine Solar

    • Gen24 is a Hybrid inverter but not fully battery ready as it still needs a software upgrade. SG5KD is a normal string inverter. You can share the address with us if you wish and we can come back to you with a recomendation/
