  • This is how much it should actually cost

    • Bought this one last week for around 14

  • Anyone in Sydney should check out QVB. I think $7 there

    • Um can u be more specific?

      • +1

Queen Victoria's basement at Town hall station has them cheaper. Around $7 or $8

  • +2

These Contigo bottles are one of the better ones out there for kids. They are really good quality and last year's and don't spill. Easy to take apart and clean as well.

    • +3

The button is easy to press for the young ones as well.

  • Do these leak when turned upside down whilst the drinking spout is open?

    • +1

No they don't, and have lasted through numerous drops as well.

      • Cheers! Will grab one next time there's a deal!

    • +1

You get the odd drop but very minimal

      • +1

And that keak is only for the water that gets stuck near the tip after they've used it, not the one that's inside the bottle itself. The adult version of this bottle on the other hand, leaks everywhere

Checked the Amazon review comments and gave up buying it

  • Yer I’ll skip ,… reviews seeem a bit iffy

  • They're OK while they last but my toddler chewed through the straw.

I prefer the bbox sports spout bottle now - no fiddling with straws.

  • +1

Had this one along with their other models. After one year, you will start to realise it's not that easy to clean. There are many hard to clean mouldy spots.

    • +1

      same here
they're great being leak proof but so damn hard to clean

    • Which model is best for a clean freak?

    • +2

We chuck them in the dishwasher - had a 3 pack we got at CostCo for ~$15 (https://www.costco.com.au/Kitchen-Laundry-Appliances/Kitchen…) a couple of years back - no signs of mould as yet…

      • wow that was a good buy

        • Can still get them for that price on the link above by the looks of it..

      • But ur washing a banana and ops advertising an apple ? Or is it the same item ? They look different?

  • ive had these for the kids. the handle eventually broke after years, but the bottle and lid still going strong.
wish they had a stainless bottle as I hate plastic

oh actually I think they do , but at 37$ :(

  • I got 2 of these when they were $13, 3 months with toddlers that wreak havoc on them but still going strong. Easy to clean, pretty solid.

  • Having been through many kids bottles, the design and quality of these are excellent:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B0721DKV9G?psc=1&ref=ppx_p…

I won't go back to those rubber nozzles - might be convenient for toddlers who can't unscrew a lid though.

    • with a metal bottle around toddlers or even a slightly older kid, it's a matter of time you get dents in the bottle and most of it is smashing against your home floor.

  • awesome prices :)

thanks OP - got 2 for my kid.

  • Seem to be Cheaper at CostCo, if you don't mind the lack of designs..

    $14.97 for 3..

    https://www.costco.com.au/Kitchen-Laundry-Appliances/Kitchen…

    • That's been out of stock for literally years…

  • Just be careful with these, there are certain parts of the straw that you can't see or clean and end up being a haven for mould. There's currently a class action in the US for this particular defect (https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/consumer-pro…).

    • The website you linked doesn't mention mould/mold but is related to a potential choking hazard
It also has this pathetic statement

"Mirza asserts that the recall was insufficient to compensate customers like her for the damage they suffered … because it doesn’t compensate for the lost use of the water bottle during the time when she will have to wait for the new lid."

    • every non-removable straw bottle has this defect. this is unfortunately a built in planned obsolescence.

  • finished?

  • This bottle not only hard to clean, the straw keeps dropping out if your have a toddler that likes to throw it on the floor/ground. Not worth it.

    • That happened to the older model bottle. This one has a clip in straw.
