SFEB15SFEB17

Lowest price so far for the Surface Pro 7+ tablet. Great as a secondary device at this price point IMO.

Combine with eBay gift cards to get an even better deal.

Although physically similar to the Surface Pro 4/5/6/7, the 7+ has completely redesigned internals

Please kick off the discussion with limitations of 8GB Ram ;)

        • Are you getting 8 hours?

          • @buddysayshi: I asked, if it can last for 8hrs. As he said "good"

            • @CyberMurning: It depends on how you use it. If do any video editing etc. taxing the processor a lot, the battery life won’t last more than a few hours. But for general office use, it easily lasts a work day and more.

    • I regularly use mine for work and get around 6 hrs on average.

Normally I'll take a battery pack if I'm going to be away from a power outlet for a prolonged period.

This is my daily drive for my hobbies and some in my spare time. Upgraded to 512GB SK Hynix SSD, running perfectly and even faster.

  • Waiting for the 8/9 plan. Maybe next year…..

  • Review on jb

Battery doesn't last at all, never has since the moment I got it. Can't really have it on longer than an hour before it dies.

    Seriously?

    • I have this and battery is on par with my macbook air m1. Slightly sluggish due to RAM.

      • Ram wouldn't really make it sluggish unless you hit ceiling

  • Just a word of warning, we got 20 of these at work and so far 7 of them have failed in some way. So they seem to have a high failure rate, atleast in our experience.

Who are we and what are we using these devices for?

    • how do they fail?

I've been using the i7 version for work for over a year now and its still going good.

      • Must be misuse by uncaring employees, that RoF seems way too high

        • That's probably true. My colleague also got an MS Pro at the exact same time as I did and their keyboards is peeling apart while mine is still looks brand new

          • @Homr: keyboard is another story, that's an accessory with faux leather or something. I wouldn't be surprised if it failed aesthetically after a few years.

      • Off the top of my head we've had:

SIM card module stop reading SIM.

Keyboard not being detected/disconnects during use

Device not turn on at all

The staff using these are out in the field so its entirely possible they have suffered damage in some way, but when we get them shipped back to use for warranty, they weren't damaged or scuffed more than typical use. We may have just received a bad batch.

That said all the other teams using thinkpads have had almost no issue.

  • Any keyboard cover would you recommend ? The Microsoft type cover is $199, insane!

    • The Microsoft type cover is $199, insane!

I think that is the only option if you want original from Microsoft, otherwise try eBay.

8gb ram is fine. No keyboard sucks. They want so much for them.

  • I finally caved due to FOMO

Just received mine, very impressive for $700….

    • I've run out of disk space already…

  • Received mine too. What Keyboard to get?

Would the Pro Type Cover work or you have to get the Pro Signature Keyboard?
