  • If I understood correctly, this is only useful if the car stereo has Aux input. Mine does not :(

Never-the-less a very good deal, this being a Belkin. +1 from me.

    Only $130 (shipped)online from Apple :)

    • Guess thats cheap when you buy there overpriced computers :)

      • I would only believe in your statement if you knew how to spell 'their' and if it were also true.

        • It is true. I haven't look at Apple prices for a while now but I petty sure they would still be overpriced.

The typical Apple fanboy response. Always look at the person spelling and try to make them look like a fool, if you cannot then make up some bs fact. Does not matter if the comment is true.

        • Please try to find a slim-line, all-in-one, aluminum, 27" screen PC that costs under $2000. The problem is that you can't.

Nope. Not a fanboy, a person who came to realisation that paying a little extra for something that works and doesn't sound like a leaf blower is worth it. I've used Windows and Mac (I've been a Windows user much longer), jumped forward and back, and found that I'm better off staying with a computer that doesn't catch who knows how many Windows viruses and provides good systems. Plus OS upgrades are around $30, may I ask you how much does it cost to upgrade to a new Windows version? Talking about overpriced… You're paying for an upgrade for a roughly dysfunctional OS.

        • A dysfunctional OS? Windows 7 is one of the most stable systems I ever had.

The fact that you catch who knows how many virus on Windows tells me you don't know much about computing/Windows.
I never had a virus for years.

If OSX was the main OS you would see how great it really was. It wouldn't matter if it was OSX, you would still get virus's. The virus makers just have to shift there attention from Windows to OSX.
Infact last month there was a virus on OSX that would infect the computer through JAVA. Apple is meant to update there own JAVA but it took them a good month before they did it if I remember correctly.

I'm not sure what you mean by leaf blower? My Windows computer fan is nice and quiet.

Apple computers are good for the nice look and the fact that you can tell your friends you got a overpriced laptop. But when it comes to real work then its Windows or Linux.

          1. You haven't had a virus? Time to get an anti-virus.
          2. That wasn't a virus, it was a Trojan, the fact that you don't know the difference is depressing. And it wasn't last month… it was February-April…
          3. There are near to no loopholes in OS X compared to Windows, whereas Windows virus', worms and trojans enter Windows loopholes, that Mac Trojan came through a Java loophole, not an OS X one. Although Apple maintains their version of Java, Oracle was the one that made the poorly written code, not Apple.
          4. In terms of market share, Mac has around 10% and has only had ONE trojan, Windows has 90% market share and has thousands of viruses, not 9.
          5. Linux for real work? Yeah, if you want to use OpenOffice.org/Libre Office and program Python, you have fun with that.
          6. Placing the word 'Linux' in your argument doesn't make your argument sound any smarter.
          1. I need a AV? No I know how to use a computer.

          2. Well I said virus as I did not fully remember what it was. I read the article quickly and you're right it was a while ago. The fact that you got to play around with words show how strong your argument is.

          3. There is no loopholes in OSX? Well thats the most stupid thing I have heard of for a while now. How the hell would you know? Yes Oracle was the one who made the bad code, but it was Apple that took a long time to fix it.

          4. It simply does not work that way.

          5. You wouldn't know.

          6. Never said it did. Not sure why you would mention that. Just because you think OSX is safe/better then Windows does not mean that is true.

        • 'compared to Windows'. Understand the use of comparisons yet. How would I know? I'm a coder.

You couldn't counter any of my other arguments too.

        • Couldn't I?

Edit: Compared. I'm not sure if that was there before. Did you edit it or did I some how miss it? The sentence looks different.

      • How did this turn into a Apple vs Windows argument? :)

          Trolling is fun, ain't it?

        • I'll stop if he/she stops.

        • I'll stop if you stop.

      • "Guess thats cheap when you buy there overpriced computers :) "

How can you put a price on being cheered all the way out of the Apple Store by the high-fiving sales staff? :)

        • +1

I tried that in Coles after buying milk.

  • I agree its a good deal. I got one from DSE for $50 a few weeks ago and I thought that was cheap. It is definately worth the money if you have an AUX port. Im trying to buy one more from the HN website for the gf car but I cant seem to add them to my cart. Anyone else with this issue?

    • Working for me.

      • Tried again and it works cheers

  • Note that this doesn't do APT-X. I don't think any Belkin devices do it.

    • I don't know what APT-X is, but the belkin bluetooth music adapter for home stereo use I just bought recently (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/74384) has pretty awful sound quality. Very tin can echoey sound :(

    • Pardon my ignorance, but could you please care to explain what this means from a usage point of view?

      • Lossless bluetooth audio transmission. Something like that, at least that's what my google-fu tells me.

  • Love this one… Mine works perfectly in my car!

  • Seems a Good deal, a quick search reveals this to be the cheapest but quality to be determined.

  • I have one, it works well for listening to music. For phonecalls it is not bad. Obviously you need to position the head unit with mic away from speakers and I find it works better if the stereo volume is not to loud. My only gripe which is small is that you need to press the button to connect each time as it does not auto connect on power up.

Much cheaper than the $50 deal some rookie posted a few days ago. Good find!

  • Thanks, been eyeing on a deal for this after I got one from COTD. Now the missus can have one in her car too.

It's a good unit, decent sound quality for music playback and hands free. Way better than the numerous Bluetooth junk I tested from DX.

  • Bought one. Plenty of user reviews here from apple store

  • My car stereo doesn't have AUX, am i better off just getting one of these?

Belkin CarAudio Connect BlueTooth FM Transmitter
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75428

    • You can, or you can first try one of the cheap hong kong ones. I have one that works pretty good, better then my last no name one. If you search ebay for "iphone fm" they will all show up. Spend $3 and see how it is, if too much static, get the Belkin.

  • Thanks OP.

Picked up my one today and it works a treat. I absolutely love it and it's a bargain price for a quality product!
