Essager PD100W USB C to USB C Cable with Power Display 1m A$0.88, 2m A$1.64 Delivered @ ESSAGER via AliExpress (New User Only)

421

Welcome deal for new users. Easy to sign up for a new account if you already have one.

Essager USB C to USB C cables with an LED display showing charging wattage.
Maximum PD100W.
Support up to 20A/5V QC 3.0.
Data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps.

Over 30,000 sold, 4.8 star reviews. Reviews look decent. I have not used these before so cannot vouch for quality. Don't use on expensive devices if you are concerned they may cook your shiz like even Baseus cables have been reported to do. YMMV.

Non new user price 50% off, 1m $6.52, 2m $7.26 delivered.

All prices in AUD. When I switch to US location to get US prices, the prices are much higher, like $3.70 USD or something, so I can't get the comparable USD prices as per posting rules for AliExpress deals.

It seems your link is taking me to the AliExpress homepage. I can't seem to find which item you're talking about that matches the price you gave.

    • I can't post a link as OzB detects it as an affiliate. I don't know how to post a non affiliate link, so I just posted the main page.

If you are searching AliExpress, you need to log out from your existing account first, orog in with a nts d new account.

Search Essager 100W USB cable and it should pop up within the first few results. Let me take a screenshot and upload somewhere.

Mods have cleaned up the post and added link now.

  • Had it, then refreshed it and the low price is now gone.

    • Still showing for me. Try another browser or incognito?

      • Sweet cheers

  • Got the 2m one for only 95c.

    • How'd you manage that? It didn't charge you tax?

    • +1

You definitely got the 100W one and not the 6A or 7A one by mistake?

      • I dunno, it states:

        "6A Blue Cable 02, 2m, China

        AU $6.19x1"

(Obviously, that's the price before discount.) I personally don't care if it's not 6A, anyway; happy with just a spare C to C cable for that price.

(And, yes, I was charged tax.)

        • Thats the 2m 7A for 95c.
Ordered it to charge phone, so didn't need 100W for $1.64.

          • @INFIDEL: Ah, ok. Same here. Bought a discounted 100W before and never needed the extra W.

            • @Jeffie: My order shows same as you:
              "6A Blue Cable 02, 2m, China AU $6.19x1" But charged 95c

Should be thinner than 100W cable - easier to store in bag.

Went out without a USB C-C cable this week. So wasn't able to charge phone from powerbank. Couldn't get anyone to charge it & Woolies wanted over $20 for basic cable.

Handy to have another spare. So this is a bargain!

        • +1

Ah, yep the non 100W is cheaper. Not everyone needs 100W. I should add them to the OP but I really can't be bothered at 3am lol

    • What was delivered was a USB A to USB C!
Invoice showed USB C to USB C.
Pointed much later it's not C to C

      Tricky!
Raising the issue as didn't want another USB A to USB C!

      • +1

It's very clear in the images when you select. I'm not having a go at you, but it's user error here. The thing you bought is not the deal that is posted. Alarm bells should have begun ringing when the prices didn't match up.

        • +1

Yes, knew it was different to what you posted.
As I said didn't need 100W cable to charge phone.

          No criticism of your Deal!
Just wish I had waited for your useful clarification before making wrong purchase! (Only 95c.)

Very hard to see tiny image on phone.
But invoice clearly shows I bought USB C to USB C. I checked after purchase & after delivery.

That's the issue I will raise. It's confusing for new AliExpress customers.

Will try new account & try again…

          • +1

@INFIDEL: Sorry, at the time I replied to you, I don't think I knew it was a USB cable. It wasn't until later I worked out what the differences were.

            • +1

              @NoApostrophePlurals: Oh I know the difference now😜
You pointed that out - after I bought…
No worries! No fault of yours!!

Usual issue with Deals with multiple options, tiny images & little detail.

Haven't ordered from this type of site for years. Confusing. Changed to 2m without checking the tiny image… Ordered too quickly. Too late at night🌛

Should have stuck with your Deal😉
Lesson learnt. Will be more careful in future.

Even emails stated order was for
Essager USB Type C To USB C Cable 100W/5A PD Fast Charging Charger Wire Cord For Macbook Xiaomi Samsung Type-C USBC Cable 2M
              6A Blue Cable 02, 2m, China
              AU $6.19x1
              Total: AU $0.95

No mention it was USB A to USB C. So no PD for fast phone charging I required!
Needed to blow up image to see that USB A detail on phone screen😜

Still a nice looking flexible cable with power display. It'll find a use.

  • +1

I get the cheap price but then at check out bumps it up to full price.

  • Whats the difference between 7A and 100W??
I can see some of the 'recommended' phone models these cords are ford, can I not use them as a general use usb cable? I got a low tier OPPO phone so wonder if I can just use these for it?

    • +1

The 6A and 7A ones are USB A to USB C. I don't think they support PD, not sure what devices support fast charging at 100W with USB A.

  • +2

Just am FYI AliExpress will ban you from future orders if it picks up you're making new accounts for the discounts.

    • +3

Then I guess you would have to make a new account?

      • +1

No that's what I mean. They'll block each new account assuming you use the same address and/or payment details.

        • Time to change house

  • Thanks OP, its a great deal at $7 so bought one anyway. The USB A to C are great for general use as most wall chargers don't seem to have USB-C just yet.

  • +2

Just a heads up, I bought one of these a few weeks ago and it fried my Pixel 7 Pro and My Pixel 4 XL. Not sure why but just letting you know that if you have a Pixel, don't take that risk.

    • Fried? How so? Please explain, as I've got a Pix7P

      • The digitizer stopped working completely on both phones. And it was the exact same brand and cable.

    • +2

Damn, that's worrying. Good to know the device model, but also which exact cable? By "one of these" are you referring to this Essager 100W with display (first time it's been posted on OzB) or a different model that was posted previously (66W no display) or a different brand that's been posted here like Toocki or SooPii or Baseus?

Also, which charging brick were you connected to?

      • +1

I have a 30 watt PD charging brick I bought from Amazon and never had any issues with it.

I bought the exact same cable, same brand. The phone's digitizer stopped working completely..i think there was a short somewhere but happened to two phones so it's definitely the cable. Still using the same charging brick with the pixel type c to type c cable and not having any issues.

  • I accidentally bought a usb-c to usb-c in a similar deal thinking one side was usb-a. I can't seem to find a use for it. What do people use it for? Charge between devices?

    • +7

Lots of chargers now have USB C output instead of USB a.

    • +1

Many new laptops/PCs come with usb-c too. If I'm hooking up a phone or a portable SSD to my laptop, I'm using USB-C to USB-C. As far as I'm aware USB PD also requires USB-C on both ends. USB-A will die off completely eventually, it'll join the ranks of USB-B, serial and parallel ports.

  • +3

Just a reminder that because of the display at the tip of the cable, some of these won't fit into the ports in some phone cases. Found that out with my PIxel 6 and 7 in a Peak Design case, so chunkier cases definitely wouldn't accomodate. They really should move the display away from the tip, even if it's a little pricier.

    • I didn't know Peak Design did phone cases! I'm into photography so know them as a camera strap and bag company.

    • Is the end without the display thinner?

  • Only 74c AU when paying via US currency.

    • Isn't that a different cable though?

      • Nope. 100W, Type C, Black, digital display

  • Estimated arrival date: 15 April.
