  • $59 at amazon, wonder if they'll match it

    • +1

They won't, they never did on smaller retailers.

$9.90 postage, so not the cheapest.

Talking product , not delivery !

      • +2

If you have your Math right. It is not even a deal and more than its rrp which is $59.95 at scum like ebgames.

  • Wish I hadn't played it recently on Wii with dogshit controls, would have loved to have played this on Switch..

    • +1

Nah go all the way back and get a Gamecube baby.

    • +2

have you played Goldeneye on Switch? man, the controls are frustrating

      • How does it play on n64 controller? Haven't had time to try it yet on pro and n64 controller

      • Soo disappointing, the problem is you are forced to use a joystick for strafing.

      • That game didn't age well unlike Mario 64, OoT etc.

    • This version is better than the Gamecube version. Only a few little details missing like reflections in mirrors and beams not lighting up hallways. Other than that, it's better. If you can find a way to play this then you should.

Why not remaster the trilogy in the one pack! 😮‍💨

    • +11

      $$$…

    • -2

Because they are working on Prime 4?

      • +1

This has been long talked about, in excess of 4 years. Likely has been held back too.

And building hype for 4 is more reason too….

      • +1

Reports were saying the trilogy has been ready for release for awhile but the delay in Prime 4 put a spanner in the works. If true, maybe they decided to drip feed it and make that extra $$ until Prime 4 is ready

    • I'm crossing my fingers they release each one.

Would have loved the trilogy though.

IMHO, this is one of the greatest games of all time.
Got me into the whole Metroid series tbh, even Super Metroid - which as embarrassing as it is to admit, failed to gel with me when it was originally released.
    (Too young, too foolish etc).
The morph/spider ball (and its various usages), may just be my favorite mechanic in all of gaming.

    • If only nintendo could make better control layouts. I found the difficulty on switch came not from the game mechanics, but the poor shinespark controls.

      Similar, Luigi's mansion.

I'm awaiting the barrage of fools that think just because they got 100% there's no issue. I got 100% too, but man I could easily come up with better layouts.

I don’t know why some developers think not offering configurable controls is such a great idea.

        • It feels like it's most (console) developers :/

Luigi's mansion in particular, needed an 'auto-fire when right stick moved' and then the shoulder buttons should have been the toggles for sucking instead of blowing, etc. Having movement and vacuum direction tied together was terrible (although I could appreciate they only allow a certain arc of fire, ie: in front of luigi).

Didn't even need to specify that it's your opinion. It's objectively one of the greatest games of all time!
Here's a link to the top 50 games of all time from gamerankings.com before it closed down -> https://gr.blade.sk/

        Thanks for sharing!
The ranking system though is still somewhat subjective as it seems to predominantly take into account the realm of digital discourse (and with only one reviewer per publication too).
Any top game list not containing Super Mario World and/or Super Mario Bros. 3 (I'm partial to the former), and Street Fighter II,
can never be truly objective. :)

        • +1

Yeah, there wasn't internet back then though. If you change the number of reviews to between 1 and 10, Super Mario World is there. Doesn't go as far back as NES. This was just about Metroid Prime though!
