Ouch, they were offering free shipping during the sale on Tuesday this week, I ordered two and they arrived yesterday, I am guessing they got stung pretty hard by that sale.

    • $75 shipping kills this.

  • What I don’t Understand for a lot of these bigger bags (70cm and up) actually exceed the limits for what’s allowed to be checked on airlines. QF for example domestically a bag cannot exceed 140cm (width, height, depth added together) and intl 158cm. So where exactly can you use these bags?

    • Sorry am I missing something? It’s 81cm instead of 140cm/158cm?

      How do I check?

      • You get the sum of all dimensions (L+W+H).

        • Thanks!

So we just check in as oversized luggage?

    • Yup, but never been stopped.

    • Yep and a lot of airlines now moving to max bag weight per bag 20kg

      • Flew Qantas several times already with Applite 4 Eco Spinner 82Cm and never asked to check in as oversized luggage. That exceed the size limit Qantas published for overseas flights.

Same with other airlines such as JAL, ANA, Singapore, Scoot

My sunside just got delivered from Amazon same price as Myers and free shipping! Myer has no stock nearby and $75 shipping is a hard no

I think CR is only 2% as it falls under Entertainment & Electronics (includes electronics, electrical, appliances, personal care, luggage, travel - see terms)

Been using hard side ~80cm luggage on Emirates and Singapore for years and never had an issue. Also often filled to 30kg limit so marked as heavy. I guess they have to haul it in standard or oversized either way so maybe they don’t make a fuss.

  • Don't get this. It's made out of polypropylene which is an inferior material for check-in suitcases. Always sticks with polycarbonate if you insist on a hard-shell.

This is a better product that's also on sale, though a bit more expensive. https://www.myer.com.au/p/samsonite-red-tois-c-68cm-spinner-…

However, do know that the best suitcase for most ppl are 2 wheeled soft-shell cases made out of nylon or ballistic nylon (lifetime durability for annual traveller).
