Which Scooters Are at Least as Good as Lime Scooters in Melbourne?

I'm a big guy and was pleasantly surprised that the Lime Scooters around Melbourne are capable of giving me a good ride. They're built strong enough, they get me up a low grade hill and their battery lasts long enough for the trips I want to make.

So can anyone with experience help recommend something similar? While I can find crazy scooters that are almost off-road vehicles, I just need a city capable machine. For a reasonable price too.

(Alternatively, does anyone know if Lime sell older refurbs?)

just steal it and find a way to hack into their system

  • If you desire the convenience of folding and prefer a model that's street-legal: Xiaomi M365 Pro/Pro 2 or the equivalent spec Ninebot. Some of the newer models don't need a transfomer brick so you can easily keep a charging cable on-hand

    • 300W motor feels rather small?

M365 Pro 2 has 600W peak power, Lime Gen 4 appears to have 350W motor but I'm not sure about the exact output. I did 550km on my M365 Pro before selling it last month. It's a great scooter - check the reviews online. If you want a more powerful scooter it will cost more and compromise weight and range

    Get a kick scooter.

  • They won't be 'as good' as Lime scooters if you're talking about the legal side of things.
