  • You must be new..

      You must be old

    • User is not new but also not a great deal tbh

      • +2

        Honest question:
Not sure what you mean about it not being a great deal at $246.

Cheapest on eBay is $264.50 and this is the only one on OZB I can see.
Even person to person recent sale was $250 plus post.

        • How's this a great deal when it’s more than OP’s previous post from few months ago?
Yes, could be cheapest available right now but not a bargain.
And average OzB knows it can be purchased cheaper than this price.

  • The expiry date of the sim card is 29-06-2024.

so this means next year I need to buy a new sim, cannot simply recharge it?

    • Hi,
The sim card will not become useless even if all the data is used up after activation. It can be recharged.
      Kind regards
      support team

    • no. it just means you need to activate the sim before that date.

  • Does this sim include access to the Boost 5G trial?

Follow-through question: What is most likely to happen after Boost ends its 5G trial in April? Would they continue to provide 5G access for free, or expect customers to pay a premium/only have certain plans including 5G?

    • +1

      Hi,
Yes, this sim does include a 5G trail. The 5G trial is available for any boost prepaid customer. Boost will contact the customer via SMS once the 5G trial has been added to their plan. The trial will end on 3rd April 2023. Once the 5G trial ends on 3rd of April, the 5G network access will be included as standard on your service starting from the 4th of April. You will not have to pay anything extra for 5G.
      Kind regards
      Support team

You get throttled to 150mbit for this particular product.

      • +1

If you activate prior to 4th April , you should still have access to uncapped 5G. It would only be capped after you recharge

What happens to the speed on my current recharge?

You’ll continue to have access to uncapped 5G and 4G speeds with your existing recharge. Capped download speeds will apply on your first recharge from 4 April 2023.

Use the discount code SNSMD3MQ7FFHXJ7M it goes down to AU $163.40

Not associated with them in any way, no idea if they are any good. I just brought one myself that is why I share.

      • “Looks like that’s the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.”

        • The code SNSMD3MQ7FFHXJ7M is what I see, but maybe the code is targeted.. I am not sure. Sorry to hear it did not work for you.

          • @dpoon73: Didn’t work for me either but there’s 5% off with eBay+, so just under $170

      • +1

        That doesn't work for me.

  • how long will this deal be availalbe for?

uuuh I just bought one from another store 2 days ago

  • Can you use this to recharge an existing service? Or would you need to port out first?

    • +2

some people had success chatting with customer service to "recharge" existing (they basically port your number to the new sim or something like that). After they messed up my text messages doing something like that before (couldn't receive any text messages for bank authentication for weeks…but normal messages were fine)..

I have been porting my number to optus $1 a day plan on esim yearly, and port back to boost the very next day using the new sim card.

      • Tried this with Optus customer service today. They said I needed a physical sim for the plan. How'd you do it 🙏

  • Do they have e-sim for prepaid service????

    • +3

sadly no. they have been "working on it" for years.

  • Is the expiry date the same as the due date for activation?

    • +2

Nope. The expiry date is the card is the last date you can activate it as a service.

Service expiry date should be 1 year after activation of service. This gives you 1 year of service. You can choose to recharge at this point to continue using it or port away.
Service needs to be activated before 29/6/2024 (card expiry)
The bonus data offer is available if you activate before 3rd April 2023.

  • Thanks op perfect timing for my expiring plan!

  • Where is Lucky " oye Lucky lucky oye"🤔
