Just saw a Gizchina article pop up in my feed. Looks like Sony is set to launch new VR head set soon followed by a PS5 Pro in June. Expect some higher discounts in PS5 in the next few months.

      A podcast I listen to put it quite well (in my opinion): PS5 is like going to the cinema - you play it for the top notch experience. Xbox is like Netflix - it has everything, with a monthly fee (Xbox Game Pass).

        I take it you've not played games on a high end pc with a really good monitor like an the Alienware AW3423DW ultrawide?
        If you had you certainly wouldn't be saying that.

          That comparison in my comment was in regards to consoles. Yes, gaming PCs can outstrip consoles easily, but that's also at a (significantly) greater cost.

      This. It's complete BS that they'd launch a PS5 Pro. What they are most likely launching this year is a PS5 model that uses an optional external disc drive that you'll have to buy separately, so they will be phasing out the separate digital only and disc drive models and replacing it with just the one.

    Gizchina is known to post fake articles for clickbait. There’s no such confirmation.

    However, I would definitely get a Pro especially if get 40% off like EBGames offered for the PS5 if you traded in a PS4 Pro.

    Made that mistake when buying the PS4Pro, thinking that everything would magically be 60fps as default.

    Being that we're already at this new 60fps standard this gen (for the most part, apart from a few outliers..) I'd really question what exactly a Pro model would do over the current PS5.
