I'm looking for a car auction house in Melbourne. I've googled and seen a few but I want to know if anyone has any good experiences with Auction houses. If you have could you list the auction houses you went to

Pickles is better if you are looking for a newer car as they have the contract for some of the Victorian Government cars. I have found Pickles good to deal with both auction and fixed price
don't buy a car at auction unless you know the market for that car back to front. Just my advice (5+ years in the motor trade in a financey role)
But there are only 2 auctions Pickles and Manheim. I have been to Pickles in Sunshine, and you will have to compete with the dealers for auctioning. IMHO evening time might be the best timing for auctioning. My suggestion is to check in Whirlpool forums about the auction threads, I would also recommend to check the cars prior to the auction (a day before?).
You'll have to expect additional charges like registration, RWC, warranty, etc. I heard that Mannheim is better than Pickles but Pickles in Sunshine is OK.
Alternatively MelbourneCheapestCars is a car yard as an option.
