Most mornings, a coffee and then bodybuilding training, might eat at 12 noon but usually around 2pm. Im Keto Carninvore, now in my 70s, push 40kg aside dumbbells on the flat bench at the gym, after doing 100+ reps of other weights. Bloodwork checked every three months. Perfect, low tryglycerides and good hdl. Eat lots of fatty meat. I was, on the standard Ozzie, diet, and a big fat 142kg slob, but five years later I am transformed. ( Any of you out there who think cereals , pasta, rice etc good for you, bare in mind that every 4.5g of carbs is equal to One Teaspoon of Sugar , take the time to look at your foods packaging and shock yourself )

    • Do you find keto expensive?

  • Black coffee no sugar till 12, soda water till 5, eating window 1hr. I do like eating breakfast food for dinner though.

    Weekdays: Coffee
    Weekends: More Coffee

  • Sunday to Friday breakfast is toast, a piece of fruit and a protein smoothie, but this is speard out over a few hours.

Saturday is something sweet like waffles, or bacon and eggs.

  • Double espresso. I don't get hungry until late afternoon.

Sometimes I'll finish off any eggs my kids don't eat, just so they don't get wasted.

    • Yeah since I switched to whole mile for lattes I don't feel the need for food until lunner.

  • Oats, flaxseed, wheat germ, a few currants, walnuts, frozen blueberries, soy milk.

Salad from garden or veg/fruit smoothie.

  • Depends on how bad the hangover is.

  • Egg fried rice with meat toppings, coffee.

  • No breakfast as such, coffee or tea with some dry fruits around 9am before offc, 12.30 lunch, 4.30 some fruits, 6.30 dinner.

Coffee. I have breakfast for dinner and lunch.

  • 35gm rolled oats in a small bowl topped level with boiling water from the electric jug, then covered and left 5 mins to absorb to become soft, then a dollop of yoghurt, sprinkle of walnuts, a splash of milk - 2 minutes prep, ready in 5 mins, eat in 2 mins and not hungry for 5 hours - high soluble fibre, anti-inflammatory, and fixes my hypoglycemia

and home-made filter paper cone coffee with 10 gms of Lavazza Gold ground coffee

total cost of breakfast maybe 60 cents - and it keeps me regular and healthy every day.

  • cereal - whatever was on sale at the time

  • I usually workout at 12pm so will have 60g Oats, Banana around 10am. Rinse repeat for 5 days and weekend whatever the family goes with….

It's cruel that many (most?) of us 'learn' and base our lifestyle choices about food from the companies selling them :(

  • Water then coffee

  • Breakfast? In this economy??

  • About 3 week days out of five Bircher Muesli with Yoghurt - the other two Toast and Jam (or Hot Cross Buns, at the Moment).
One day a weekend, we will go for a drive around this beautiful part of our country, and can always find a "big breakfast" - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, beans, sausages, toast. The other day of the weekend, will be an omelette, at home).

    Lots of Coffee..

  • Trying hard to break the ‘cereal only’ habit. Sugary cereal gives me reflux. Conversely, weetbix also gives me reflux (I have a haitus hernia)

I usually have Carmen’s untoasted Bircher muesli, but have to soak it for about an hour to avoid getting reflux, best if I do it overnight but I keep forgetting.

Instead of that if I go to gym first thing I have a poached egg, slice of avocado, tomato on a piece of toast.

I’ve also started banana oat pancakes. 2 bananas, half a cup of oats, pinch of salt and teaspoon of baking powder, makes about 4 nice pancakes but it’s a lot of fibre to have so split it over 2 days. With fruits

I’d like to try some udon noodle soups or something else that’s not sugary, but have no idea lol

  • I drink a long black. That's it. Food starts at lunch time.

  • 2 x YoPro. Black coffee. 1 banana.

i keep eggs in the fridge and some muffins ….find if i have a muffin and one egg in the morning no hunger for at least 5 hours , quick cheap and easy meal for under $1.10 …..have a coffee at home also so add another 60c ..for under $2 is a meal ready in under 10 minutes including heat up of coffee machine ….. have that at about 7:45am if i haven’t slept in …if i have slept in skip breakfast but don’t buy breakfast …..wait till lunch.

not hungry at lunch if i’ve had breakfast, so eat lunch as it’s social at work …. dinner around 7 pm …. i could easily get by on 2 meals per day if i have some fruit handy ….

eating out is the problem ….breakfasts are huge as cafes need to seem make it look like value and people always talk about qty of food and value …. the doctor has told me don’t eat out of habit ….your body will tell you when it’s hungry , use smaller plates so that you don’t pile on too much food,so it’s more small meals or fewer large meals …. even the 3 course dinner is something invented by hospitality industry to sell more ….often now just have 1 course when eating out …

  • Nothing, I am not hungry until around 3pm. So it's lunch > dinner > late night snack for me.

If I do eat breakfast, I prob have 1 or two bites and I am full, my body clock of food doesn't start around 3pm.

  • Protein shake, 30g of oats in almond milk and coffee.

  • Don't like a big breakfast, usually once egg, sometimes with cheese and spinach leaves sometimes just with chilli sauce.

  • double espresso

  • Croissant with jam and black tea
