Wireless Keyboard Recommendation under $200 with Silent Red Keys

Couple of keys (LShift to N) has stopped working, Backlit turns on though, not sure what happened (not hot swappable) please lmk if anyone know how to repair.

So, currently looking at logitech mx mini mechanical (tact quiet) seems like a brown switch and good battery. Its at $160 on amazon

Does anybody have any suggestion with the requirement can stretch to $250 but can't go beyond that. or maybe till $300 if I can get something like mode keyboards thockkyyy 1 2

I don't care about looks and don't have time to build.

to sum up, I need keyboard which is
- wireless (prefer)
- tkl or 75
- shine through keycaps / backlit
- hotswap (prefer)
- mx silent red (really prefer)

Thanks.

Wouldn't hurt to go ask on r/BudgetKeebs and r/MechanicalKeyboards as well if you haven't already

Have you looked at any Keychron boards?

    • It'll just be an another rabbit hole lol, I went with mx mini.

Keychron would be your best bet. Qwertykeys is the new hotness in wireless keyboards, but I think it would be tough to find even a second hand one in your budget.

Keychron are good entry level boards with plenty of scope for modding if you decide to go down that path. Not sure if they offer Silent Red as default, but you could always buy a barebones model and add your own switches in.

To be honest the 'noise' of regular non-silent linear switches is really not much louder than the silent ones. Most people I know in the hobby who started out at the "I definitely need silent switches" point eventually transitioned off them. There are many more options in non-silenced, but if you absolutely need silenced there are plenty of good options available which are easier to source than Cherry such as Gazzew or Durock switches.

    • Thanks for the comment I'll definitely check qwerty when I need one in future although I hate dealing with small boutique or online store specially from overseas. I would have gone with gmmk pre built from pc case gear if I had half a grand on my disposal.

Totally agree, got my delivery this afternoon. only difference I can feel between my previous silent red and this brown is tactile feedback. Really happy with the purchase.

  • when is the MX Keys going to be on sale?! i need a full size board, and waiting for this to go on sale

    • Not sure. but check out your local jb hifi if they have it on display it's so good.
