My wife's laptop died and I don't know the laptop space well enough to say what will work best for our budget.
Ideally around 15 inch display with an SSD and that can run the sims 4 (And actually run properly)
I don't mind going refurbished. Looking to spend around $700. Is this price point high enough? Could I get away without having a dedicated GPU?
If someone could point me in the right direction my frazzled brain would be very grateful.

Sims 4 was released in 2014, just about any modern laptop or PC should be able to run it, particularly anything with a dedicated graphics chip and a reasonable amount of RAM.
Could I get away without having a dedicated GPU?
If you're not playing much else, iGPUs from the last 1-4 years will be more than enough to handle the game and basic tasks.
