  I have an old version of this watch from about over a decade ago. I really enjoyed it but the ticking drove me insane especially at night when I was trying to sleep, even when I placed it in a drawer. I hope the newer models are quieter…

    Yep, these are way too loud. Anytime there's a quiet moment - the office, stationery in traffic, etc - the ticking is there to remind you that time is passing.

    Timex manufactures its own watches in its own facilities using its own movements. Even the really cheap ones.

        I didn't post that all resin one because it looks like a nightmare to find the analog hands and next to the $99 GA200 with steel bezel it didn't look like good value.

    That style you linked is what I know as the actual weekender, but this is a bit dressier. I dont mind it.

  Is this the watch that shows corrosion on the case quite quickly?

  But the description says PVD gold plated, and I am pretty sure the "Weekender" in the review I watched said the case was brass (which is why it corrodes quickly).

    Sorry maybe I am using the wrong word here. Maybe oxidization not corrosion. And it might not be this particular watch, but another version of the Weekender.

    I know some people actually like the worn brass look, but I thought it was worth mentioning just in case you don't.
