Much more powerful SoC. The Wifi S7 FE has SD778 which is better than SD855+ whereas S5 Lite is comparable to low end SD660.
By what metric do you say the SD778 is better than the SD855+?
Performance per watt. Thats about all it's better than the SD855+ in definitively. Otherwise they're pretty comparable.

@Bigboomboom: Hard to make a like for like assessment using two different devices but they seem fairly close in the real world, indeed.
@chrisandrew: And in what single phone that you typically see 2 different SoC? Apart from the old S series maybe?
Performance will be better but it is bigger and heavier so not as good for general usage. Get a S6 (not lite) off eBay for the best good-sized tablet.
Also better screen (500 nits, HDR10).
Presuming you meant Tab S6 Lite, from the reviews I have seen the Tab S7 FE is better/faster but not a whole lot. I have the S6 Lite 2022 4G/64G and it's quite fine IMO, very responsive and smooth and doesn't seem to inexplicably lag with bg stuff etc. I had the Tab A8 before that and it wasn't great.

Actually, was android until recently thanks to the deals on ipad and iPhone 12 mini. Not an apple fanboi, just stating that the pro is an impressive device. Also, consider limited software updates remaining for this device

I had this briefly but found it way too big. If you like to hold it in your hands or in front of you when you lay on bed it’s just too big. Also the OS didn’t feel smooth for some reason.
Then again I got the A8 and it’s perfect size and the OS feels very smooth even though it’s just a 60Hz screen.
But it is a steal for this price. 64GB is ok for light to mod use as you can add a MicroSD card :)

Apple for sure. This isn't a "bad" tablet, it's actually very cool, the screen is nice enough, it is thin and light enough. But apps crash 50 times more often than they do on iPad. Keyboard lag is 10,000 times more common. It's instant garbage compared to an iPad. I've deployed some of these exact Android tablets and I really wish client just went with iPad. Apple are just in a league of their own when it comes to devices. Samsung and any other device maker just can't compete for some reason, but maybe it's just not possible when you can't enjoy the economy of scale and count on economy of scale year after year.
Not bad. The larger 12.4" screen is nice.
64GB would be fine for me - Primary uses: streaming, comics, browsing. I currently have 34gb used on my iPad.
I bough the tab s6 fe version and the screen resolution is not as good compare to s2, fe version seems a cut down version of s7. Its good price but if you guys wanted good vibrant screen then look s7 or tab s8

I think its better samsung not market the product like this with low quality screen. S2 were cheap but now can see why the screen was bright and good quality.

If anyone is wondering, I rang Samsung to ask wth is going on with my tablet order. They don't have any stock available, which is fan-bloody-tastic.
The next shipment arrives at their depot on the 20th of March. So I'll have my tablet 6 weeks after ordering, and won't be home to collect because I'll be overseas - which is why I wanted the tablet in the first place. Shitty service at it's finest. Rant over.

Has anybody had their order shipped yet? 6 weeks later and Samsung still can not give me an update on when I can expect it to be dispatched.
I cancelled my order from the last sale because the wait was too long and I needed it before going overseas.
I phoned them a couple of times since placing the order and the revised date I got was the 25th March. Initially they told me the 20th March, so I wouldn't be surprised if they moved the goal posts a third time. Terrible service from them.
