Yellow Marley Spoon Ad goes to this link and shows a blank page.
Thought I should let others know it might be trying to do something and getting blocked.

        You can disable ads in OzBargain Settings for your profile.

        You also should not have ads anywhere on any site. They are common malware vectors beyond being distractions. Install adblockers and enjoy a cleaner internet experience.

          Yeah I am an idiot didn't know until I looked at all the profile tabs now.

          Why would an ad literally freeze on a redirect and not load? Maybe my antivirus is blocking it for me because it's suspicious?

            @harshbdmmaster718: Could be AV. Could be a glitch in the system. Could be an error in the URL. Could be can't connect to one of the redirected servers. Any number of reasons. No longer an issue for you now.

            Get uBlock Origin add-on if you're on a computer to remove ads everywhere, especially YouTube.

            Adblock Plus or any of the hundreds of content blockers on iOS devices.

              Not sure if Marley Spoon just (profanity) up or if it's actually a real issue or not.

              Or maybe Marley Spoon really was trying to scan my face and send my porn search history to a chinese spy balloon that was directly passing overhead 😂.

                Ads on sites aren't manually inserted into pages.
                For something like a Google Ad, space is allocated/reserved in the page layout and Google's back end advertising inserts whatever ad happens to suit/bid the highest/apply to applicable keywords etc

                  @SBOB: Ok thanks. Yeah I think it is a google ad because they have the X in the top right corner just like on a mobile app I use that has google ads (I know it's google because it lags when it loads and shows the google logo lol).

            What browser? Assuming no decent ad blocker or DNS stopping ads or blocked domains,

            Some browsers (eg pretty sure chrome does) block or halt on excessive redirects so could be as simple as that.

    If you use a Mac or iPhone/iPad I can recommend Wipr to get rid of ads. There are free ad blockers but Wipr seems to be better than the free ones for quickly reacting to changes in YouTube's ad system. Single $3 cost, per platform.

          Thanks I looked up monospaced but don't know how to apply it what I copy pasted.

          I looked at this on the phone and both my text image and your text image look the same. But on the PC they do look different.

          Anyhow I just copy pasted it from a reddit post because it looked like the batman logo light being projected on the sky lol.

    For any dodgy ads, mods may be able to block certain dodgy/unsupported ads from the upstream provider. See hamza23's comment below:

    If you (or any other member) could report the landing page to us, if it happens again in the future, then we can send it to the upstream provider so they can block/remove the rogue ad.
