whats so good abt this pillow?

    • price

    • No idea, but this is the price i am afford to give it a try.

    • It's primary for neck injury, or breathing issues like snoring (which causes its own issues)

    • +2

Very good memory foam. Adapts to shape of body. You don't sink into it and get hot in summer, or choke. Very good support for side sleepers.

      • -1

so during summer is very hot to sleep in?

        • +2

          No, cooler than normal pillows.

    • I got one. It's amazing.
I need ear plugs and good pillow to sleep well, so it's worth it for me. Some people can sleep under any condition, if you're one of them then don't buy this.

If you like memory foam pillows this is one of the better ones on the market - i used to use Dentons and then they changed their material (at least it feels like it) and it just doesnt offer the same support. Most available memory foam on the market i pretty much tried them all, including brands that dont sell in dept stores like ecosa and spinaleze - ecosa only good for a couple of months then it starts to collapse and you have to put the extra padding (which is included) and now its useless, spinaleze was not good at all.
Husband (who doesnt usually care about pillows) also like the tempur - he dubbed it as soft concrete - out of the box when i first got mine i was a bit worried because it was oddly solid, but when you sleep on it, the thing is soft but incredibly supportive. I dont know how to describe it, but not just a piece of ordinary memory foam in my opinion, even during the good denton days.
It does get hot in summer - but then again when its really hot days we sleep with aircon/fan on so doesnt bother us much

The Millennium Pillow is also 65% off.

    • What’s the main difference?

      • Shape

      • It depends on you are a back sleeper or side sleeper. The difference is about the pillow support for the poistion

        • +1

Which one is better for side sleepers? They both mention “for back and side sleepers “.

I’ve always had issues with memory foam style pillows and side sleeping.

          • @GReeeeN: Millennium seems to have a more aggressive angle, having a higher support under the neck and tapering off lower towards the top of the head. I’m personally not a fan of that for side sleeping but never stuck with it long enough to try and adjust to it if I’m being honest

          • @GReeeeN: Tempur rep we spoke with recommended original for side sleeper and millenium for back. But I have the millenium and predominately a side sleeper and very happy with it.

  • I can only see the price as $349?

    • Discount shows at checkout.

I bought one of these last time they were on special. Took a lot of getting used to for someone new to memory foam. I find the medium a little too thin for side sleeping, once your head squishes into it. It's also impossible to buy pillow cases for due to it's unique dimensions.

As the rep said last time, might want to try it in store first as there are no returns.

    • +1

      Would you still recommend it?

      • As a side sleeper I got the ‘High’ version and after an adjustment period love it, I used to have to strategically position 2 feather pillows

      • Honestly for the price it's a no for me.
Maybe the higher version would be better.

    • Last time I took that advice on board - went to store - and none to try. In the meantime, website went out of stock. So, this time, just bought and hoping for the best! (I needed some guest pillows anyway - so in worst case scenario I just bought some stupidly expensive guest pillows)

is this pillow that much better than this

Love this pillow. Only buy when on sale, worth it. I got the bigger size tho, never had a problem with pillow cases, all fit fine. Has a washable protector case too. I always get a sore neck now when I use hotel pillows. Maybe this is a good size for travelling.

  • +1

Doesnt look like they have large, and the millenium listing doesnt even specify size.

  • +2

Dunlopillow is in special as well

We have one of these and also the TEMPUR CLOUD COMFORT pillow.

Just checked my invoice it was $80 each.

Mates rates. Still spent over $8.5k on 2 beds and mattresses that day.

That was over 3 years ago and the pillow is still very good (for me).

My wife doesn’t like either, but then again she’s complained about every pilllow she’s slept on. Don’t get me started when we get to hotels. ‘Can you call and ask for a higher/lower/different pillow?’

The worst pillows are at airbnbs

  • Haven't tried the tempur but seems overpriced. we use the Ecosa Pillow which are amazing and look like a better product for a similar price. They are a great shape, come with height adjustable pad inserts, have bulk discounts and is often on sale. Fixed my sore neck issues and generally squeezes into a normal pillowcase.

    • I will give it a try. They have free return as well. Do you insert height adjustable pads inside the pillow as a one unit or you just lay them below the pillow?

      • +2

I have tried ecosa، for me they are too high and bulkier despite having 6feet height wide broad shoulders۔۔۔ but again it all matters whats your personal preference and comfort. Wasn't good for either sidesleeping and back.

        • +2

I too hated the Ecosa. Super high and no different to a store bought pillow (besides the high cost). (absolutely love the Ecosa mattress though)

        • +2

I believe they were referring to Ecosa accepting returns.

        • Thanks @JimB I was indeed referring to Ecosa. It's worth taking risk with them.

        • I really wanted to try DoneLippo (i am sure i spelled it out wrong) and Tempura pillows… But what if they no good, I wont be able to return… Try means not in store but for few days … For ecosa, I returned those after 1 month of use… Painful

        • Thats the problem … Very difficult to make decision as you cannot return…

      • +2

You just stack them inside your pillowcase. I've never needed them, as the other commenter said the Ecosa Pillow starts pretty high. All comes down to individual preferences in the end.

        • Great. Thanks

    • I've been very tempted to try and Ecosa, I've been using a Koala for years and have loved it but feel its too high for me these days for some reason. Have borrowed a tempur from a family member and find it quite hard but can deal with it. Have you ever tried using the low side of the Ecosa? they say you can and this is how i'd use it as I hate having the big lump in my neck (though i guess that is kind of the point of it to support the neck).

      • +2

Hey, yeah I mostly use the low side. I find when I travel and am on a really firm bed I need the high side, but on my foam topped mattress at home the low side is perfect.

        • sweet thanks, might give it a go!

  • Bought the Ikea Klubsporre pillow a few months ago and I've never slept better. Can't recommend it highly enough.

  • The best pillow ever. Got disc herniation in my neck 14 yrs ago. Have had stiff neck and have woken up many times with sore neck lasting days because of bad sleep, pillows and sleep position.
Invested in tempur mattress and and a medium original pillow 8 years ago. Haven't looked back. No neck stiffness, good night sleep.( life changer) I now travel with this pillow.
Easy to pack in most reasonably sized luggage.

    Shows as $349 to me.

    • +2

you'll see the discount after adding to cart.

      • Thanks mate! Appreciated!

  • Got 1, thanx op

  • Thx OP. Grabbed a couple yesterday.

I had a good sleep last night :)

  • Typical ozbargainer: But Kmart has pillows for just $6!

  • David Jones haven honoured my order,
Is there a way I can argue their decision?
    Thank you
