Laptop Backpack That Can Handle Min 4kg Weight

Hey all,

My previous Dell backpack snapped once I started lugging a 16 inch macbook. I also carry a couple of phones, a hefty powerbank and headphones.

Hoping to find something of reasonable cost under $150 that will hopefully last more than a few weeks lol

started lugging a 16 inch macbook.

Attach these and wheel it around instead.

It's only $1,049!! (seriously though.. wtf is up with that price??)

Think of them as an investment. Take photos of them and put them on OnlyFans.

  • I bought a Haglöfs Backup back bag about 15 years ago and it is still in a presentable condition.

  • I have a black Quicksilver backpack that has taken heaps of weight without much wear over 4 or 5 years. Pretty much this one https://amzn.asia/d/b630Bvq

I've crammed in 2x laptops, a DSLR with 300mm lense, headphones, a couple of powerbanks, laptop charge bricks, cables, glasses case and some clothes etc. when travelling. Otherwise it's my daily bag for work.

  • Crumpler used to be an easy recommendation but they're a bit over the budget and discounts seem to be rare on them now. Got the Mantra about 5 years ago now for ~150 and there's still not a scratch on it.

Don't know any specific models, but I've regularly carried on a 17kg Thule camera backpack. Seems to be a few laptop backpacks in that price range on Amazon.

Haven't used Patagonia packs myself but they've got good warranties like Crumpler and Peak Design.

  • I think Acer had some. Here is one on Kogan's site

  • I've got a Patagonia Black Hole 32l back pack that works really well. Prior to that I had a Deuter Giga Office Pro 42l that worked very well too. I was putting too much crap in the Deuter which is why I moved to the smaller Patagonia pack. My son now uses the Deuter for high school and loves it

  • I've been using the Aer 16" City Pack X-Pac and I absolutely love it. It fits my 15" Dell and a Steam Deck (in it's case) + all my accessories.
