Two of your best options are to either make friends with an Apple employee (15% discount), or to find a way to score those sweet 15% off Apple GCs (which don't come very often).
Are there quantity limits on the Apple Employee discount.
Wouldn't the third option be the combination of option 1 and 2, which is the best?
If course, if you can wrangle that solution from your Apple employee mate.
Mind you, they use a separate portal for employee purchases which only accepts card payments.

Don't know if it's any cheaper but also have a look at the Aussie Apple Refurb Store in case there's stock of what you want.
I bought my MBP M1 Pro refurb and it's like brand new - even the battery only had 2 cycles on it.
Education Store is the best price
