Dreame V9 / V10 Battery Replacement

Hi, I need to replace battery in my Dreame V9 / V10. Seems like same battery fits in both.

Replacement process is pretty easy, but finding a replacement battery is a bit of a headache.
Even on aliexpress its well over $100 with shipping. Seems no local stock in AU.
I'm thinking for this much, I may as well wait for another special on brand new V10 / V11.

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks

  • Seems V10 pro battery is slightly cheaper, but not sure if it fits the V10.

  • Can't help with your qn but how do you find your vacuum holding up now? When I first got mine I was like wow its awesome and so cheap. A year later, hated it. Everytime I turned the vacuum off I had to do it over a rubbish box as it just dropped everything from the head.

    • Hey there, mine are fine. I have both V9 and V10.
I found battery started to deteriorate on V9 after about 3-4 years, up to a point now where I can't charge it anymore.
Other than that can't complain, no issues like you described.
V10 is only a couple of years old, going strong.

Finding a battery replacement is an expensive issue though.
Also quality of attachments could be better, but I guess you get what you pay for.

  • @jackwilk Did you end up finding any batteries locally for the V9? Or can you otherwise recommended an Aliexpress seller? I'm in the same boat. The batteries are half the coast of a brand new Dreame V10, but then I'd be in the same position again with the V10 looking for a replacement for that in 3 years time.

    • I’ve now got the same issue with my V9, it’s going to e-waste and I’ll get a Samsung or LG to replace it.

    • Yeah exactly same thoughts here. I found replacement batteries on Aliexpress for around 60 bucks, unknown quality though.
I can get V9 comparable vacuum on Ebay for around $100, should last 3 years, and probably have same issues as V9 in due course.

I've parked my V9 in the cupboard, next step is the bin.
Since then I've bought Dyson V7, will see how it goes.

      • Yeah I ended up getting lucky and got one from Gearbite. They sold me one of the news batteries they were holding for warranty claims. Ended up getting it for less than they advertised as "out of stock" on their website. So for $79 or whatever it was, I extended the life of my Dreame v9 by another 3 years, so I'm wrapped with that.

  • +2

I'm in the same boat now after 2 to 3 years of usage. Got a dreame v9, battery doesn't work on setting 3. Only works on setting 2 now. Also looking for a replacement, aliexpress has them for $100. Guessing not worth it. If they were $50 I would consider a replacement. Maybe it's time to find a new vacumn

    • Yup, same here.
Agree, $50 would make sense, but not $100 which is about half the price of outright replacement. Especially with no assurances on longevity of replacement battery.

  • +1

Anyone find a source yet? My v9 is holding up great, works brilliantly but the battery is starting to play up.

Would rather not replace the whole thing if possible

  • I have a Xiaomi Mi 1C which appears to be the same or very similar to the Dreame V10, and after almost 3 years of use the battery has finally given up.

Was really hoping there would be an adapter available that would allow the use of 18V batteries from Ozito or some other range, as can be found for the Dyson, like this one: https://amzn.asia/d/dfR0D1A
