  • partner was asking me to look out for this last week :) you just made her day!

  • Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

Is it just me … ?

This one works - http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Earth-Limited-Edition-Blu-ray/d… but isn't in stock, ships in 10 to 11 days.

    • that's bizarre….thanks for the new link, I've changed it……

      • The stock status isn't exactly clear - Usually ships within 10 to 11 days - so it's not actually in stock by the looks of it.

  • Great price.

Something to consider is this review:
    http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/5580/planet_earth_se.html
The review states that the video quality of the Special Edition (which I understand is what is packed in the Limited Edition) is inferior to the Original release.

    • I totally agree with the above. The packaging and extra feature film might look very attractive to many (including me), until I read the review from the link above.
That review site is a great source for BluRay video quality and totally spot on.

Looks like they've crammed all the extras in without increasing the disc count so the bitrate of the main features have suffered as a result. Silly.

      • The original is a 4 disc set. I believe that they re-encoded the video presentation SE version and came out with the resulting 'inferior' quality video.

    • It's a darn shame because that is some seriously attractive packaging.

  • +1

How cool is that…you can take it to the Ten Pin alley.

  • Good deal.

I was gonna buy the original set from Amazon.co.uk for £14.68, but they're unable to send it to my address.
Why is that? are Bluray's classified as Games not DVDs? Seems very odd.

  • maybe these "Globe Set" are different video quality to the normal boxed Special Edition?
as in they have re-encode and fixed the problems found in the normal boxed Special Edition?

waiting for review on this globe set! :-)
