Are AirPods Pro's Uncomfortable?

Hey I have the Gen 1 AirPods and thinking of upgrading to the AirPods Pro 2.

My worry is that the silicon tips will be uncomfortable going into the ear. Did anyone else have this concern before buying them? If so how did they feel after you bought them?

Alternative is to buy the original AirPods 2 which have the same design.

  • My worry is that the silicon tips will be uncomfortable going into the ear.

Majority of earphones out there use silicon tips. No, they're not uncomfortable. I'd be more worried about the fit, as for some the APs stay in well and for some they fall out easily.

    • For fit, you get three different tips in the box and just find the ones that suit you. Note that some people don't have matching ears so maybe left is a Small and right is a Medium.

Noise cancellation on AirPods Pro are fantastic too. I use them all day for MS Teams calls, no issues at all.

You won't be able to go back to regular AirPods after having Pros.

  • I have Apple AirPods (2nd Generation) which is very comfortable.

  • Some people seem to complain about the AirPods Pro falling out of their ears, but I’ve never had that issue. Maybe some people have giant ears (though I would call my ears small by any measure).

Comfort has never been an issue with me. I hardly notice they are in my ears a lot of the time.

  • airpod pro's are the GOAT

get a spinfit ear tips if uncomfortable

  • Not uncomfortable at all. They come with 3 different silicon tip sizes to help get the right fit

  • They are meant to be more comfortable than regular IEM's because with Airpods Pro's the hard part doesn't extend into your ears like they do on IEM's.
If you squish IEM earbuds you will feel the hard plastic inside, but if you squish Airpods earbuds you are just squishing the soft silicone earbud.

  • i've used the comply foams. They've worked well for me.

  • I'd say use the 14 day return policy if you don't like it. You can also try it out in the Apple Store now if you want to make sure it fits your ears. Personal fit / preference: AirPods Pro 2nd Gen > AirPods 2nd Gen > AirPods 3rd Gen. My AirPods 3rd Gen will fall off regularly while I was eating lol. I only use it because of the improved microphone and I would pay for the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen if I have the cash right now.

  • The silicone tips is ALOT more comfortable than the bare plastic of the non pro's, No idea how people use them tbh.

Yes they are uncomfortable. Have them and Airpods (2nd Gen) and prefer them!

  • I like the pros. They’re good. Probably the least uncomfortable earbuds I’ve owned.

AirPods Pro 2nd Gen are very comfortable and come with 4 different size silicon tips, definitely much better than non-Pro
