  • Remember when this used to be the normal price for these? Me neither

  • Remember a few years before covid you could pick it up at Coles for $24.50kg, then went up to $30, 35 kg and now my Coles' doesn't even stock it -they just sell Single Rib Eye Steaks on bone for about $50kg

    • +3

I've always found meat quality at Woolies to be better than that of Coles. Maybe just in my head though and that everything comes from the same farm with same quality etc

      • Agree, last two times i got a mince from coles i couldn't eat it, just had a weird smell after cooking it

      • Get your meat from Foodland. Way better quality and always 50% cheaper.

It amazes me that people still buy meat from Colesworths.

  • Where is the bottom of the cattle price? No one knows! Down 37% since June.

  • I went to prospect woolies nsw, got some porter budget $25 kg pack and blade steak $18 budget pack, but no ribeye there

    • MaybeGina Rinehart is flogging her cattle to Woolies in South Australia, since no other country really imports our beef - they prefer Argentinian/Brazilian and UK Beef, at least that is what I've experienced in Europe and NYC

  • Nothing at Marion, and the lad said they are shutting down the butchers at various stores
.So just clearing everything out. Find a store who is removing their butcher section.
