  • Are there more embody's available? :o

    • +1

Not sure. There was a few left when I left. They might update the floor stock when it's empty.

      • Cheers mate! Appreciate the post and reply, congrats on your new chair :)

I just bought mine before 12pm, and there was still 6-7 Embodys available. Just be aware, the warranty is 12 years from manufacture, and the dates on the chairs are all over the place. A fair few built in 2020, 21 and a couple in 22, but I found one that was a 2017 build and it cost the same as the others.

      • thanks! I'll keep that in mind!

      • Can confirm this. You must have been there when I was there too haha.
I managed to snag a late 2022 model.

        • they're all out now, couldn't snag one :(

            @conheo: Sorry to hear :(
Keep an eye out on FB marketplace. I recall last warehouse sale, some people ended up trying to sell them for the same cost cause they didn't end up liking the chair

            • @tempestswitch: I'll try that!
Also gonna try check it out tomorrow morning, they said they might get more stock but they're not sure.

Don’t bother unless you want a Sayl. Shit traffic. No parks. Everything still overpriced. There was 1 broken aeron left

    • Wonder if they will be bringing more stuff out

  • +4

That is the most realistic looking showroom I have seen, they even have laundry hanging up to really give you the feel of what it would be like in your home.

  • Why does this have to be sydney :(

    • Would you be happier if it was in Mildura, Brisbane or Perth?

      • Haha Mildura would be better but would prefer Melbourne :)

This is why people are so financially illiterate in this county and why inflation is killing our economy.

  • Went at around 4pm and got a brand new Aeron for $1640, which I thought was pretty good value considering the high retail prices now. They said they would be restocking tomorrow.

    • Was it BNIB or were they just on the floor out of the box?

Who tf spends $1500 on an office chair?

    • +6

The person that doesn't want to spend $2,415 on a new one.

Ergonomics are vital if you are in a chair all day for work. I bought 2 embodys for $2,300 each about 5 years ago since working from home. I don't get it when people say "$2,000 for a chair", but depends how long you are in it and what you get out of it.

Same with a bed. I would pay $8K for a good ergonomic bed, as you spend 30% of your life asleep (on average if 8hrs per night).

Each to their own though. I could say the same about spending $3,000 on a speaker system, but it depends on what you want to get out of it at the end of the day.

  • How does everyone find out about these warehouse sales?

    • +1

They advertised the sale on their instagram story.
