What Are The Best Earbuds in Market?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good quality pair of earbuds mainly for use while working out. I've done quite a bit of research online and it seems to top two are:
Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds II Truly Wireless
Sony WF-1000XM4 Truly Wireless

Does anyone have differing views? If so, why? It would be good to get opinions on these if anyone has them too.

Thanks for your help.

  • How vigorous are your workouts?

    • Nothing like intensive cardio, if that's what you are asking. Light to medium cardio and mainly weights.

    I currently own:
    - Pixel Buds Pro
    - Samsung Buds2 Pro
    - Sony XM3

Favourite is Buds2 Pro, then Pixels Buds Pro, then XM3

Use rtings website to get the best fit for workouts … I wouldn't trust any of them for a workout without a bit of worry on my mind and constant adjustment.

  • Thanks for that. I've used rtings to compare the two however, still unsure.

  • Get them from a place with good returns and satisfaction guarantee

I’ve got finicky ears and fit can be off. I bought XM3s years ago based on reviews I’d read and whilst the sound is excellent the fit sucks for me. They fall out if I walk around.

I like Jabras because of the fit. The Sonys sound better but the best sounding stuff is useless if they don’t stay in your ears. Here’s a write up on my experiences with some Jabras:

  • I'm using Shokz, not earbuds, for workouts. Finding them vastly more comfortable than things that fit either in or over my gears.

They won't drown out heavy gym music though, if your gym has that problem.

I've tested too many pairs of earbuds over the years, they just don't work for me. My favourites have been Etymotics and Shure for sound isolation and quality, but they are wired.

  • Samsung Buds 2 Pro have my vote. Takes a lot of what I like about the Buds 2 and the older buds pro and gets all the good stuff right.
Fit, isolation, sound, value and comfort/size are great

    • Fit wasn't very good for me, but everything else has been top notch. Had to play around with some aftermarket eartips before I could get a good seal.

That's a shame. The original buds pro didn't fit me very well for my ear shape. The 2's were better but the Buds 2 Pros were the best out of the 3.

  • Beats Fit Pro?

Dont buy the sony ihave them i would go bose. Some times they get out of sync R/L and the shape is a bit wonky in my ears.

  • Under $250 = Jabra Elite 7 Active (I have a pair and really like them)
    Over $250 = Sony WF-1000XM4

  • Airpods Pro 2nd Gen
