Looks like it's taken down now.
I tried to get this during their Tradies night last week. No stock in 4+ stores.
It would have been a great deal.

Worth getting just for the spare battery and then selling the rest. I have an Ego trimmer (not this one) the one with the auto feed line thing, which is worth its weight in gold, and it is AMAZING. They have stock in Morayfield. I'm really tempted to go drive there but im very la

So lazy, didn't even finish writing the last word in your post.

  • “Skin Only”??? Perhaps?

There is no way an Ego line trimmer, charger and 2 batteries is $399… If it is, it's not bad, 2x 2.5ah batteries would usually be $400 on their own. The usual combo pack of trimmer, 1 battery and a charger is $399, so extra battery deal??

Have you tried ringing a local store and checking with them?

    • it includes 2x batteries but ran out of stock in NSW….

Got the $529 one with 2x batteries

      • That's the one I have, and it has been great. I had a Ryobi before and the EGO makes it seem like a toy in comparison. My two batteries still going ok after about 3 years.

    Get a Petrol, straight shaft.

Why? An 18v single line Ryobi is sufficient to trim regularly maintained edges. Battery might not be great for clearing a neglected bush block, but the instant start, much less vibration and no heat of fumes make up for any drop in power when trimming a suburban block in good condition.

  • Ego tools are great. Comparable to petrol in power but with all the benefits of electric. I'd never, ever go back to petrol. There are no real benefits remaining.

  • While the Ego tools are great, can't say the same about their batteries. I bought about $2k worth so had 3 batteries which I was cycling through, the 2 big ones 7.5ah are failing/failed right after the warranty period and Ego doesn't even wanna talk to me. Pretty pissed as it's $900 worth. Checked Reddit and there's heaps of people with battery issues but they were lucky that it was within their warranty period.

Small batteries seem to be ok though. Dont have more than 2 batteries so you know you'll use it enough for it to fail within warranty
