That's too cheap…. Going into PS plus soon?

It may not be perfect, but there is a lot of fun to be had for under $20 here.

  • The story dialogue feels like it was written by AI but damn this game was fun in co-op. Makes me really miss the days of most AAA games having co-op.

Please elaborate your comment in lay terms for non gamers that has recently Acquired a ps5

The writing and pace just feels so odd, things happen in the story with pretty strange reactions or dialogue from the characters without spoiling it.

But even with all of that I loved this game because I got to just have a huge laugh with two other friends. It almost feels like a 2009 era video game where fun is the main priority over story. We put it on hard to actually feel some fear and make us stick together.

  • Probably the most boring game I've ever played. More boring than the modern Assassin's Creed games.

Played this co-op with my friends and there was no element of co-operative play. The only thing co-operative about this mode is you both have to press x at the same time to talk to an NPC to give you the next fetch quest.

Just wait for it to be free on PS Plus or something.

    • For the record, AC Odyssey was awesome. As someone who enjoys ancient Greece mythology/history the gameplay, characters, and story was fun (except the ending was a bit anticlimactic, and obviously AC Blackflag had superior maritime gameplay). If you didn't enjoy it then that's your loss. I recently played the old Assassin's Creeds and they're objectively worse for today's standards unless you're looking back on them with rose-tinted glasses.

I'm definitely looking back with rose-tinted glasses on the Assassin's Creed series. Loved the Ezio games because they felt new and fresh at the time but no doubt they've aged poorly.

Not awful games - I platinumed AC: Valhalla! But man they are a real slog compared to other contemporary open-world games.

        • Fair enough, can't argue with that. Congrats on the platinum too, that's dedication.

        • Ezio was the best…I liked the following of the same character (both in the past and in the present).

Whereas nowadays the story is mainly in the past. Black Flag was probably the last game with a substantial story in the present.

Origins and Odyssey were good but I miss the "pure" AC experience without the RPG elements…

Playing Odyssey's Atlantis DLC at the moment and find it very grindy.

The game where the guy runs around hitting people with the spanner? I agree it looks very boring in videos.

  • I've read the not-so-good things about this game, but at this price it's hard to resist!

I ordered then cancelled, it seems like this will be the new price anyway, I might just wait for $10 to lower my expectations so I can enjoy it more.

  • Irritatingly, it's on sale on Steam, but only for $45AUD :(

    i missed this !
