Hey Bar Gain Man - What are you referring to exactly? I'll fix it.

End of the day, we're a small business with a focus on making damn good merino (and walkin' the talk and testing it in the Aussie bush) so I have no doubt we've forgotten something on the website. My bad.

  • If I was rich I'd have nothing but merino t shirts as my t shirt. They feel so comfortable in a way that all should experience at least once. Strangly my looser fitting t shirt feels much nicer than my long sleeve despite them both being the same brand (not this brand).

Always good to hear from another merino fanatic, Gakko. :) It was that obsession with merino and a slow investment in several pieces over time that triggered me to start Ottie. Was sick of the durability issues. Was sick of the fading. Was sick of the mostly 'slim' fit cuts on the market. So, started a merino brand! (As ya do… Haha.)

p.s. Our short sleeve and long sleeve share the same base 'block'. That means, the body of the long sleeve tee fits identically to the short. :)

    You had me at “magazine”!

    • Glad!

  • I still believe Icebreaker Shirts are a better value. I usually buy them for not more than $40 on sale. I don’t care if they are not the latest ones. Icebreaker gives free gifts too. Instead of a “magazine” you get high value items like a free classic shirt or a beanie.

    • Thanks for the feedback. We have done a gift with purchase with our socks before. Reason for the magazine is it's a great publication that we have partnered with that really resonates with our customer, and that we'd love to help get in more hands. You know, one Aussie made business helping another. :)

      • Do you also have a life time sock warranty like Icebreaker? I bought like 10 pairs overtime and claim every year new ones through the warranty because of holes etc.

        • That really does make them sound like terrific quality

          • @mickeyjuiceman: I don’t care unless they change the warranty I have socks forever. I claimed replacement socks several times. With this strategy I have lifelong socks and paid only once.

@Thrifty Dan: you are the kind of person that makes companies not have policies like that

              • @gakko: You don’t know me, mate! It is also not my problem if products not meeting the sellers own expectations and standards! I am a product tester and get every week products for free to test and keep.

We don't have that kinda warranty, no. Giving pretty much an unlimited number of products away for free doesn't sound like a terribly commercial tactic for us. We simply don't have the financial magnitude that Icebreaker does, nor the backing of a global $13B retail corporation behind us (Icebreaker is owned by VF Corp which also owns Timberland, The North Face, Vans, etc). We're just a good, honest and transparent small Aussie business that manufactures in Australia, is operated in Australia, and is owned by a couple of Aussies. :)
