  • These were crazy overpriced at RRP of over $1500. Usually available around $1k. $600 seems a good deal. I avoided given the wheels - I recall reading reviews that they were not comfortable nor particularly durable, and were not replaceable. I think there may be a JB Hi-Fi review of them saying it was basically a disposeable scooter after a year. Just saying you should do your research. The wheels may now be easy to replace.

    • Solid tyres have the benefit of not getting punctures at the cost of less suspension. They're certainly replaceable.

      • Yep, aware of the benefits. Have solid tyres on my last mile scooter, thick tubeless on my long range Emove cruiser.

And yes, sorry. Technically replaceable. But had a quick search and didn't find any replacements around. As I say, may be easier to replace now but I suggest doing a check. That review is still on JB's website.

        • If your search for Unagi replacement tyre you'll have trouble. Searching for 7.5" solid tyre is a different story 😜

          • @Clear: Did that, too and was same story for me. Couldn't see anything compatible. Found UK sites listing the Unagi wheel, but were out of stock (e.g https://www.thescooter.co/products/unagi-model-one-replaceme…). If you know of something compatible that is available, might be good to know. As I say, I'm not in the market. Might help someone thinking of buying, but discouraged for the same reason I didn't.

            • @Trosticles: "7.5 inch solid tyre" brings up AliExpress as first result.

              • @Clear: Yeah, I'd looked at that. Not sure it fits. The description doesn't list the E500 as a compatible scooter, and the internal design of the out of stock OEM tyres is different. Do you know it is compatible?

I have done a bit more looking, and seen another similar review (of the tyre lasting a year and then no replacement available). One US review from 2 years ago said they had both tyres replaced within a year. I can only find an OEM $150 rear wheel (motor plus tyre) so far. Might do more looking later today.

                • @Trosticles: Also, pictures on Reddit reviews show examples of how this tyre fails (split where the tyre is thin because of the holes). I have again decided against this model…
