Always wanted one of these as a kid… Not too late!

  • Is the single on sale too?

  • My relative has one of these we purchased 2nd hand for them. It is a bit wobbly so putting brackets in the corners soon for more stability. The previous owner cut the legs a bit shorter which may be contributing to the stability I believe.

I wish there was a version that goes up/down like a sit/stand desk does.

  • +2

IKEA recommends a minimum of 270cm ceiling height for this bed FYI.

How is this even worth $500… looks cheap AF

That's my issue with IKEA. Prices have gone semi-premium but the quality certainly hasn't increased to match.

        Absolutely true.

  • Also at Rhodes. This is tall enough for an average person to stand underneath but requires 9 foot ceilings.

    This but in black.

Might be okay for a guest bedroom but having to go up and down all the time gets tiring.

The whole thing about loft beds is that they make more space in a small room/studio.

One can have a lounge/desk, storage robe and bed where they could've just previously had a bed. Now they have a seating/relaxing area they won't need to go up and down all the time and can instead just use the bed for sleep.

      • This. A mate's house has pokey rooms but with high ceilings. They got these for the kids (teens) well over 5 years ago and they still love it. Very intelligent use if limited space.

  • So much room for activities!

  • +1

This ain’t the most stable setup even for the instore demo unit

  • This has been reduced further for Easter. Its $299 at Springvale.
