Edifier R1380DB Bluetooth Does Not Work. Anyone Else?

It worked absolutely fine until yesterday afternoon, and then I unplugged everything to move the furniture and devices.

After I reconnected everything, I noticed this Bluetooth device cannot be connected via Bluetooth (I only used BT to connect it to my desktop). Tried everything (not much i can try though), and also tried to connect to my phone. Both my phone and desktop cannot even find the speakers via Bluetooth.

Anyone else has this issue? Any solutions that may work?

  • Did you try what Edifier support suggests?

    • I certainly did.
"Tried everything (not much i can try though), and also tried to connect to my phone. "

      • So both holding volume down for 5 secs didn't work and removing power for 10 minutes didn't work either huh.

Not sure but pretty sure there should be a "factory reset" method. Maybe you have to do more digging.

The only other thing I can think of that sometimes happens to someone I know with a bluetooth connection to a soundbar is, the bluetooth on the phone sometimes bugs out and no matter what it can't reconnect. The solution was to turn the speakers off, then turn bluetooth off on the phone, then on again. Turn on speakers and reconnect.

I did manage to fix it the first time by doing the same process but replace "then turn bluetooth off on the phone" with "hard restart phone". But I was able to fix the same issue using the first solution above.

        • I have "hard restart"ed my computer several times. I have contacted Amazon and the seller wireless1 may provide a free return label. However, I may not have the original box…

          • @aec: Just thought this is worth asking because it doesn't say it specifically on Edifier online (just says "unpair"), but did you go to bluetooth settings on the computer find the connection and forget the speakers?

            • @harshbdmmaster718: yes, this is part of "everything" that i have tried :D

              • @aec: Damn ok. I never had a bluetooth device connection fail on me so that is strange it cannot be fixed.

  • I had a similar problem with a Sony muteki party speaker, ended up having to use a taotronics by receiver connected via 3.5mm aux when all the supplied fixes didn’t help

    • This edifier is less than 1 year old. I may have to contact after-sale. hopefully i can return it.
