A guy is 99% the same as a girl, but that 1% difference makes a world of difference

…er, no! That’s just what we’re told. The reality is very different.

    • XM8500 is not really 90% of SM7B. SM57 on the other hand is more likely 90% of SM7B for 30% of the price.

  • Goes for $450 pretty often.

Pretty sure those $450 are from dodgy third party sellers selling the SM7B fakes.

      • They were sold and shipped by Amazon AU. Feel free to have a look at CamelCamelCamel link in the original post.

  • Really a bargain? They've been $450 in the past.

Lots of Fakes out there, anything sold by Amazon Au will be genuine Australian stock with the local distribuors (Jands) authentication serial number that can be confirmed through their website.

There are dozens of sellers undecutting that price with fake copies, check the sellers details, most are new sellers and sell this mic, a water bottle and an umbrella!

This is an amazon au listing so is at least going to be an authentic shure product.

    • I agree. There are heaps of fakes and they do look pretty genuine.

  • Anyone use this for Teams meeting?

Just note you'll likly need a fetheat or cloudlifter to boost the gain to reasonable level if you don't have a decent audio interface. There's a great deal on the fethead for $99 at the moment.

  • This is a much cheaper alternative on sale at the moment that can hold its ground against the SM7B. That being said, if they were the same price, I'd get the SM7B in order to achieve 'THAT' sound. https://www.storedj.com.au/beyerdynamic-m70-pro-x-cardioid-d…

  • It went down to 490 :)
