Where to buy/source: large cardboard sheets - eg. height of a voting booth

Hello, I'd like to get my hands on some large cardboard sheets (by this Sunday)- any used voting booths would have been great but apparently they destroy them after the elections…
I need them as part of my set/backdrop for a skit involving a king & a castle.

Any ideas?

Call a large real estate agent.

Ask them which printer does their corflute signs.

    Contact the printer.

Often they can give you used or misprint signs - - some quite large.

    More durable than cardboard.

If u r happy with 160gsm bond paper(thick enough to call as a cardboard), then u can get it frm Officeworks..they don't sell the paper itself but if u go to print n copy department n ask the team member, they might b able to sell you the paper itself for half price..roughly $10-20.
They use this paper to print wide format cannon colour printer..

When I was in uni, I used to get large cardboard boxes from places like Bing Lee and Retravision.

Find the dude that delivers/installs washing machines for harvey norman/good guys etc. You could build a cool castle with stacked washing machine boxes.

  • Thanks alot hello007, Ami111, illusionarybreeze and tonka!

I'm over the moon the Retravision down the road had STACKS of empty fridge boxes they were happy for me to take (as many as I liked)! For free ;)

Finished the castle & the fridge boxes were much better than the voting booths in height and sturdiness :-)

I was going to suggest on voting day, hop in the booth, and just walk out in the booth - but - here's the catch - you have to walk out super slowly
