Xbox Series X

Hi Everyone,

I haven't bought a console for over 15 years and I was previously a PC gamer but the missus will be away for a few weeks so I'm planning to buy an Xbox Series X. I'm after the standalone console but the only ones I can find currently are the bundles with Forza which I don't want.

Anyone know when they'll be back in stock and anyone know any deals? I've noticed a few weeks ago there was a deal where you get the bundle for around $750 which we great.

Also can anyone recommend a wireless headset for around $200 to $300? I've got a large head so it has to be for bigger heads and compatible with the xbox.

      Strange because I did have a look on Target and did a search for the console but only the bundle appears and the ps5 but not the x series standalone console. Your link however shows me it's available at certain stores.

      Tried to search for it on Target via Shopback app and it also doesn't appear. Currently there's only a 0.5% cashback which is basically nothing.

        Maybe just call the stores which are showing stock

          So I've called a few stores around 30 min drive from me which were showing limited stock to be told they are out of stock 😭 might have no choice but to buy the bundle

    As someone in the industry, it seems like there is only residual stock of XSX left in the country. when they brought out the bundle, they stopped replenishing standard stock. Explains why some targets may have some

      Seems like that's all they are pushing which are these forza bundles. Not everyone likes racing games.

          From what I've read you can't sell the game as it's directly linked to the actual console. Pretty sure someone on ozb mentioned this in the past.

    You can use a wired headset by plugging it into the controller, though totally wireless is obviously more convenient.

      I'm leaning more towards a wireless headset so at least I can use it for work sometimes as well.

    Also try calling HN Auburn and HN Liverpool

    BTW - there are heaps of PS5s around now, and there are heaps more games for PS5 than Xbox.

      Will definitely call around. Leaning towards xbox as Im going to get their game pass which has over 100 games.

        Playstation also have their own Gamepass type system which is worth looking into if that's your only consideration.

        Enjoy! Just make sure you look up the 'hacks' on here to get game pass for cheap :)
