I asked myself 'Why does this need wifi?', and there it was on the site:

Once connected, you can control it remotely, even if you are not currently in your country

What if you travel for work and need to use it remotely for those 72hour ribs? Lmao

Set it up to have VPN access, then you can remote in and tweak it while in Zanzibar.

    • Wifi mode is easier to use.

  • Yes, it is the older model, no I've never had an issue with mine in the years I've been using it.

  • Grabbed a similar deal late last year on these two. Very satisfied for the price.

  • Anyone find that the vacuum sealing isn't super air tight? Wonder if I'm doing something wrong?

    • If there's liquid in the bag that can affect the seal. Vacuum sealing works best with very minimal liquid or dry ingredients only. For wet stuff with marinades the displacement method works better for me.

    • I used mine for the first time a couple of weeks ago, sealed as it should.
What I did learn for meat I am freezing, is that I should pat it down with paper towel first to remove all moisture to prevent any icing.

  • Is there a deal just for the Vacuum Sealer?
