Qantas Lounge Complimentary Lounge Pass Expiry Date

I have a complimentary lounge pass that expires 2 weeks before a Jetstar flight in May.
The online portal allowed me to assign the pass to my Jetstar flight and I got a confirmation email with the confirmation number and QR code.
Wondering if anyone knows if you need to be travelling before the expiry date or just need to be assigned to the flight before the expiry date?

    • Thanks, yes I saw that. wasn't sure if used meant linked to flight and confirmation number assigned or if the flight had to be before the date because to online system allowed me to link it to the flight

    I think the wording "used" would mean redeemed before the expiry date otherwise users could link the passes for flights up to 12 months past the expiry.

    In my experience they only check the email showing that a pass has been linked and not actually check the expiry of the pass. But you can also get lucky and call the team asking them to extend the pass a few weeks and give them the details of the flight and they can sometimes honour it. I have done that in the past.

    I've personally had no issues linking a pass before expiry for a flight after expiry - successfully used at Melbourne domestic, Sydney domestic, and Melbourne business lounges
