I've gone off cheaper cinemas. Happy to pay the extra for Hoyts for the plush reclinable seats for the few times I actually want to go out and not wait for streaming services these days

4dx seats are worth the cheap tuesdays

People still go to the cinemas? I thought they were well and truly dead.

I go frequently, bit of a waste of money but I value not being interrupted, and high quality sound.

  • Southbank has very sticky seats, would rather pay more and not need a shower after.

    • True. I saw John Wick there and was totally glued to my seat. 10/10.

I enjoy the big screen/sound, leather/reclining seats when I go but cinemas need to do more to attract regular customers. Offer members affordable subscription options such as Sinemia did. Otherwise, high prices and the hassle of going out and finding parking will keep potential customers away in the age of streaming.

Love Cineplex, the best popcorn and choc tops (subjective, obvs). The prices have always been the best too.

I do wish they’d bring back bubs sessions though. With a newborn we’ve gotta head to a different chain.

  • This is the same price as normal isn't it
