This is the same seller that sold me a fake Shure Beta 58. (Identical Store URL)
    The serial number was fake.
The internal components were clearly fake.
The external badges were substandard compared to my other genuine mics.

      I dont get it.

    • This item listing has multiple sellers, the seller in this scenario is Amazon (First party). What seller are you referring to? Was it GmeH audio?

    • Perhaps I'm off the mark?
The listing refers to the Shure Store being the seller.

This is the same URL as the store that my dodgy mic came from.
      Happy to be corrected :-)

That's a feature of Amazon called Stores where brands such as Apple, Samsung, Sony or whatever major brand can use to advertise their products with a nice user interface.

However the microphone here is stocked at Amazon's warehouses and is sold to you directly by Amazon itself, not by a third party. Purchasing items sold and shipped by Amazon is generally the safest as they have a returns policy in case the item isn't what you expected.

buy a wireless kit… something like Lekato

Maybe better off just buying a wireless version in the long run tho

      5.8GHZ

Joyo 5.8ghz seem to be fairly selective with their OEM choice for decent quality gear on a budget - So you will find other brand names tacked onto similar looking designs for a lot cheaper too, but maybe lacking quality control. Also not a lot of advantage to going up in price to x-vive, Sennheiser, Shure etc until you are getting to pro level rack stuff.

You'll always end up with quite high compression and comparatively steep roll off of the low end as a compromise with almost all wireless making it sound a little more sterile, but that's also a function of long cables rolling of some treble and adding warmth.
