Deal valid for orders placed until 04/04/2023, unless sold out before. You can pick from the available green circle dispatch dates on the cart page. Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • One dispatch per order

  • SA|WA Flat Rate Shipping $9.99 Express Post. Regular parcels travel to SA & WA via train. The recent floods have damaged the rail line to SA & WA and a freight train has derailed, as such we've been informed by Australia Post that standard delivery to SA & WA is currently not an option for the foreseeable future. Express Post travels by plane, so it's still a viable option. We understand some of our SA & WA customers would prefer our "$6.99 No Delivery Company Preference" standard shipping option. Our Express Post option is usually $12.99. As Express shipping has been forced on us and you as the only viable option to SA & WA for the moment, to make the best of this situation we've decided to split the price difference and offer our SA & WA customers flat-rate Express shipping for only $9.99

Thank you for the 40% off São Paulo. Honestly one of the beast coffee’s I have ever tasted. Ordered 2 kgs this time.

Keep up the great work Lime Blue :)

    • Woohoo, what a wonderful way to kick off the comments!

Thank you sincerely for another order and sharing that outstanding feedback, it's truly appreciated and I'm so happy to know how much you have enjoyed this delicious Single Origin. We'll keep working hard to stay in your good books :)

    • I can vouch that! I didnt like BraIlian coffee until this

  • And I've had the decaf before and it's really good. Tastes like a normal good coffee

    • Morning @Daniel Harris that's Fantastic, music to my ears, I'm wrapped to know how much you enjoy our SWP Decaf!!!

Thank you so much for sharing that terrific feedback :)

    • +1

+1 to that. Too many coffee suppliers think decaf=weak and flavourless, but LB's decaf is actually full-bodied and full of flavour.

  • Is the decaf coffee organic by any chance?

    • +1

Morning @nugeorge by chance it actually is :)

Generally speaking, I'd say most coffee is grown using organic practices, it's just that a lot of Farmers aren't keen on paying for the official Certification and going through the process. Unlike other agricultural products, an Organic Certification for coffee doesn't generally result in much of a price increase for Farmers, compared to the price increase they'll receive by focusing their attention and resources on producing a well picked/sorted, high quality, delicious coffee.

      • Really? From my research I've read that 97%+ coffee is non-organic and treated with pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other chemicals. Is there anywhere on your website that indicates that the coffees you source are organic?

        • You're probably right because 97% of coffee is Robusta/Arabica and grown for big conglomerates to make into pods or instant, so having a crop die to some bug is a much bigger deal when Nescafe is your customer.

Specialty and single origin coffee is a pretty small % of the market afaik

        • +8

          Appreciate the follow up!

That 97%+ stat just means less that 3% of Farmers are willing to pay and go through the Organic Certification process. It doesn't necessarily mean that 97%+ of coffee is grown without following organic processes.

Coffee is porous, so if you spray harmful chemicals on coffee it's likely going to negatively impact flavour, as such it's not in the farmers financial interest to do so. Back in the day I literally had discussions with farmers about their growing practices and I said "if that's how you operate, then why don't you get the Organic Certification" and they responded by saying "why would we pay to be Certified when it won't mean we get any more money for our coffee?"

I'd say the majority of situations where harmful chemicals may potentially be used would be on very large farms where the focus is quantity not quality AKA Commodity Grade coffee and we only sell Specialty Grade not Commodity Grade coffee.

We focus on quality and flavour, not coffee Certifications so there's not a write up about our SWP Decaf being Certified Organic. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a company focusing on Certifications, it's just not the path we've chosen. The only coffee currently on our site that is Certified Organic is our SWP Decaf and that's just by chance, we don't source it for the Certification. With regard to coffee we believe the best indicator of healthy growing practices is high quality, delicious flavour :)

        • +3

FYI, organic doesn’t mean it’s not treated pesticides and such, just that they use organic pesticides instead of synthetic ones.

A lot of organic places skirt around the wording to try make it sound like they’re pesticide free but it doesn’t mean much

  • Tried for first time last sale and was amazing. Had to buy again, this time 2kg! Thanks Lime Blue

    • Amazing, thank you so much for placing another terrific order with us @eunbi!

I'm thrilled to know how much you enjoyed your first Lime Blue Coffee experience, your fantastic feedback is sincerely appreciated and brings a big smile :)

  • What is the typical flat rate delivery time to Brisbane?

    • Hey @monkeymajik appreciate the question!

All our shipping options are flat rate. I assume you mean our $6.99 flat rate shipping, but just to be sure, can you please clarify which shipping option you're asking about?

      • 6.99 flate rate please.

        • +1

Sure thing, that will mean Standard shipping from VIC, so I'd estimate 2-4 business days depending on your specific address, most likely 3 business days. If you needed the good stuff faster, then Express should arrive in 1 business day :)

  • Got the Brazil 2kg and need to setup some more delayed deliveries thank you! Been waiting for this day :)

    The decaf is brilliant too!

    • Hey @dammit thank so much for that terrific order and additional delayed dispatch order, they truly mean so much!

Love the planning ahead skills, better safe than sorry, who knows when we'll have our next Brazil SO deal :)

Thrilled to know you think our Decaf is "brilliant!"

  • -1

Just ordered yesterday :( any chance you could refund the difference OP?

    • +9

Hey @Patat appreciate the check in, I've received and replied to the email you sent today :)

      "Morning ….,

Thank you so much for placing another terrific order with us yesterday, it sincerely means a lot!

We get full-priced orders daily, we got some yesterday and today even after the deal launched. I can completely appreciate why you're reaching out and it's perfectly reasonable to make the request you have, it never hurts to ask. However, if we refunded your order to equal today's deal price, in fairness we'd have to refund the other full-priced orders we received yesterday and for that matter all full-priced orders over the last 7 weeks since our previous Brazil SO deal and then we're by default permanently on discount. Given the circumstances I'm sorry to say it's just not viable to refund your existing order to the discount price.

One of the reasons we have our unique delayed/scheduled dispatch system is so people can make the most of our deals without needing to stockpile. During our previous Brazil deal roughly 7 weeks ago (2nd week of Feb) you were able to make the most of that discounted price by scheduling dispatch up until tomorrow 30/3. For this current Brazil deal we've opened up our scheduled dispatch calendar until the last Tuesday in May 30/5.

You may cancel your existing order and place a new order with the deal pricing. Please note we're starting to prep the shipping labels for tomorrow's dispatch now, so if you did decide to cancel you'd need to do so quickly. Also by cancelling your existing order you'd lose your dispatch spot for tomorrow, currently the next available dispatch is Monday. Of course we'd prefer you didn't cancel your order to place one at a discounted price as we generally roast to order and certain payment processors don't refund processing fees, which means we make a financial loss on certain types of refunded orders. Please let me know what suits you best :)"

  • +1

Bummer. Got airjo last week… the Sao Paulo SO is probably one of the best around

    • Hey @FlyingMiffy good news, you can still make the most of this deal by utilising our unique delayed/scheduled dispatch system. Dispatch calendar spots are currently available until the last Thursday in May :)

Very happy to see your compliment, thank you so much. I'm wrapped to know how highly you think of our Brazil SO!

      • Hey, I don't have a grinder yet.. If I place an order, are we able to organize you hold the beans for a week after roast.. then grind and send?

        • +1

Hey @Sublimit appreciate the check in!

We certainly can grind your coffee for you. However, we strive to dispatch all orders nice and fresh within 48 business hours of roasting. If you place an order with us (which we sincerely hope you do), your coffee would be dispatched within 48 business hours of us roasting and grinding it :)

    • Same here, I have never tried Airjo but that’s the one on promo that time. Is Airjo really that far behind?

      • +1

I wasnt impressed by Airjo. Limeblue on the other hand have been fantastic.

        • My Airjo has just been delivered today. Will give it a go. I’ve always preferred SO.

I’ve ordered this too, but delayed delivery, but I’ll try them side by side

      • Airjo is good too but coffee is really about personal taste. Pegasus is our fav from Airjo, but i got Sumatra to try this time. All things considered, i would get the Sao Paolo SO if they both popped up at the same time.

  • Any beans suited for milk coffee?

    • Hey @OzHan appreciate the check in!

All our options work really well with milk, except our Kenya Carbonic Maceration as its best suited for black coffees. The two options in this deal work especially well for milk based drinks :)

      • Bought one, as a SA resident hope the $6.7 postage will be available next time.

        • Terrific, thank you so much, your order really means a lot!

Appreciate the feedback. We'll be checking back in on the standard delivery logistics to SA and WA some time to see the status of the repairs and how the delivery speed has been impacts, then we'll decide whether to continue with the current Express shipping option to SA and WA or make a change :)

    • The Brazilian is my go to for my usual drink - double shot oat latte. Highly recommend.

  • Thanks OP. I'm a long black coffee guy, I'm excited to try your Sao Paulo SO out.

    • Terrific, thank you so for your order, this SO sure does make a tasty Long Black, hope you love it :)

  • That’s me sorted for the next 2 months. Nice beans, thanks.

    • Terrific, love the planning ahead skills, so you don't run out of the good stuff!

Thank you so much for the compliment and placing more fantastic orders with us, your continued orders really do mean so much :)

  • +2

    When is Colombia coming back?

    • +2

      Great question!

I honestly don't know, sorry my answer's greatness does not match your question's :)

I'm sure we'll feature a Colombia SO at some point again, as it's always a popular coffee region (and for good reason). However, at this stage I'm not sure when we'll featured a Colombian SO again. When we do it'll likely be a similar yet different one. I'm not sure if the importer will get that specific Double Washed again and we purchased their entire supply which sold out in February.

  • Love all the positive comments!! Ordered 1kg Brazil and 500g SWP, just a bit confused by the dispatch dates as your website says next roasting date is April 3rd, with earliest available dates currently April 3rd or 5th. I chose 5th to be safe, but wondering if 3rd would be that same day fresh roasted ones and I could actually change and get it 2 days earlier? Thanks!

    • Hey @bodysurfer very happy the positive comments have caught your attention and that you "love" them (we do too) :)

Thank you so much for placing your first order (nice combo) with us, it really does mean so much and is an opportunity we won't take for granted!

Appreciate you reaching out to check, never hurts to ask for clarification. Given next Friday and the following Monday are Public Holidays (delivery companies don't pick up on PH) we are dispatching next week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday is already at full dispatch capacity, the other 3 days still have some availability, but Monday looks like it may hit full dispatch capacity in the near future with the remaining two days hopefully following suit shortly thereafter.

With regard to the specific days we'll roast next week, that's a bit of a fluid thing that will change based on demand (as we roast-to-order). I predict that we'll be roasting every single day next week. We always strive to dispatch our coffee nice and fresh within 48 hours of roasting, so I think it'll work out best for you to select the dispatch date based on when you need more of the good stuff, as opposed to the "fresh coffee next roasted" date on our site banner. If you'd like your order dispatched earlier, we can make that happen for you, as long as we receive the request prior to dispatch being at full capacity for that date. To request a dispatch date change simply send a reply email to your order confirmation with the request :)

      • Hi! Thinking of ordering a kg. How long after roasting is best for consumption? If you're roasting on the 3rd April and dispatch on the 5th. It means the beans will be too fresh?

        • Hey @cupnooodle appreciate you reaching out to check!

As mentioned to @bodysurfer above, our roasting schedule is a bit fluid as we generally roast to order. If you select dispatch on the 5th it doesn't necessarily mean you'll receive coffee that was roasted on the 3rd. Given how the schedule is currently looking it's more likely you'll receive coffee roasted on the 4th or 5th.

I don't believe it'll arrive when it's "too fresh" as there's also delivery transit time to consider, so it'll be more than 24 hours since it was roasted when you receive it. The peak flavour will hit roughly 1-2 weeks after the roast date. I personally get stuck into the good stuff only 24 hours after roasting, as I enjoy seeing how the flavour changes and develops each day.

In a nutshell you should find it delicious after only 24 hours since the roast date, with increased flavour enjoyment to look forward to as the coffee continues to develop over time. We find it's better for an order to arrive closer to it being roasted as opposed to closer to it becoming stale, because if you'd like the flavour to develop a bit more you can always wait a few days, but you can't go back in time if the coffee arrives on the verge of going stale :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Great insight! Placing an order now

            • @cupnooodle: Fantastic to hear @cupnooodle thank you so much for placing your first order with us, its truly appreciated!!!

              • @LimeBlueCoffee: Reviews for the Brazil SO are absolutely glowing, as with the top notch customer service. Appreciate your prompt response

                • @cupnooodle: That's wonderful feedback to receive, I'm so glad the reviews have caught your attention :)

Very happy we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there. Fingers crossed you love our coffee!

      • Thanks for the detailed reply! I’ve replied to my order email to change the dispatch to Monday 3 April instead of Wednesday 5 April :) much appreciated.

        • Sure thing, glad you found it helpful. Emailed received and replied to, so now you're all set :)

  • Ordered 2kg :)

    • What a fantastic order @Twilight1234 thank you so much!!!

  • The Kenya Nyeri CM is amazing, thanks! :) Grabbing a bag of the Sao Paolo for my partner who just got an AeroPress.

    • +1

Woohoo, that's absolute music to my ears to know you think our Kenya CM is "amazing" @Diji thank you so much for sharing that terrific compliment and placing another order with us, it's truly appreciated!

Congrats to your partner on getting an AeroPress, hope they love it, it's always a bit of an exciting time getting a new coffee gadget/brewer :)

  • Can I get an update on Order #24552? Sent an email yesterday.

    • Received and replied, all sorted for you now :)

  • +3

The "Sweetness = Honey" really does stand out in these beans!

But only IF you can find the "sweet spot" when dialling in; of which I disagree with LBC's suggested espresso brew ratios of 1:1 for milk drinks (too acidic, even for me) and 1:2 for black (bitter after-taste and lacking sweetness).

I found the sweetest/tastiest brew ratio for espresso actually seemed to be right in the middle at around 1:1.5-1:1.6 - regardless of whether you have it with milk or not.

    HTH :)

    • +1

Should clarify that I'm referring to the Brazil São Paulo beans in the comment above.

      • Hey @FiXXXeR thank you for taking the time to provide your personal experience with our Brazil SO and I've very happy to hear you were able get the honey sweetness from this SO. As personal flavour interpretation and enjoyment is subjective, we absolutely love seeing customers engaged, experimenting with our coffee to find the extraction that suits them best!!!

Completely agree that 1:1 isn't the go for espresso, we think it's too concentrated to really taste and enjoy the flavour as a straight espresso, but that it cuts through milk really well to let the flavour shine through. With regard to our Brazil SO, when customers enquire (we can only fit so many recipe variations on the bag label, perhaps we need bigger labels or a QR code with info too, we'll think on that a bit) about extraction recommendations we generally say:
-1:2 for black (espresso or long black) and milk if making a large coffee with more than 200ml of textured milk AKA a mug of coffee
-Half the extraction of a 1:2 for a piccolo or mac
-1:1 (double ristretto) when adding 150-200ml of textured milk
-1:16.67 for filter (6g coffee per 100ml water) as black and for those that have filter with a splash of milk we recommend 25-30% milk: 75-70% 1:16.67 filter ration extraction.

There's a lot of flavour variation that can be achieved with certain types of machines which have a wide array of settings (temp, preinfusion, pressure profiling) and micro stepless adjustment grinders. Even the type of water filtration system (e.g. reverse osmosis vs. tap water) someone has can have a substantial impact on flavour. There's also many machines out there which have limited settings adjustments and macro stepped grinder settings. There's no right of wrong setup, as long as the person using the setup enjoys their coffee experience. Our recommended brew guide are intended to work across the large spectrum of coffee setup people have and simply just guides as opposed to strict rules. Their intended purpose is to create a starting position to either point people in the right direction or fast-track their dial in time. We just recommend people taste their first coffee in line with our guides and then adjust if needed from there.

We have tested a wide variety of extraction recipes for our Brazil and continually test our batches. We have tested a 1:1.5 ratio before. However, we do love to receive constructive feedback and our 1:1.5 test may have been at a different temperature, have a different contact time or different…so if you'd like to share the specifics of you extraction recipe we'll be happy to pull a few shots and see how they go?

        • Hi @LimeBlueCoffee thanks for the reply - I hadn't seen it until now!

My setup is a DF64P grinder and a Breville Bambino Plus; contact time I always try to keep between 27-32 seconds with most beans. In the past I have often ended up at or near suggested ratios from other roasters so I was surprised to find the difference between my taste and yours to be such a wide gap! Also have never seen different black and white recommendations before either.

Anyway only posted that as some people don't realise that ratios are not fixed things and it's always worth experimenting when dialling in.

P.S. & FYI - For your Kenya Peaberry, I ended up with 1:1.44 as the sweet spot ;)

  • Hi Rep, do you not do 1kg bags if decaf. I want a kg but not worth buying two 500g bags with the additional cost.

    • Hey @McGeeski appreciate you reaching out, the potential order sounds great!

You're in luck because we sure do offer our SWP Decaf in 1kg packaging. On the product page, under the "packaging" menu option you're able to toggle between 500g and 1kg bag packaging :)

      • Thanks I see you have to select 1kg then in a bag of 1kg.

Thanks also order 1 kg of São Paulo

        • Sure thing, spot on :)

Thank you so much for your combo order, it's truly appreciated!

  • Thanks, really love these beans. Similar price to Airjo and they taste a touch better. Also appreciate the delayed despatch.

  • Hi Op, any instant coffees? That do not need a coffee machine? Reading all the good comments feel like giving it a go, but I haven’t had much luck with my coffee machine and back to instant coffee these days.

    • Hey @Dealking appreciate you reaching out to check!

Very happy to hear the "good comments" have caught your attention. At present we don't have any instant coffee options. However, you don't need a wiz bang fancy machine (although it can enhance the experience) to enjoy our fresh coffee, a simple plunger or stovetop espresso maker and you'll be all set to get stuck into the good stuff :)

  • Hi Op, the price on the Brazil Single Origin is showing @ $29.99 for the 1kg?

    • +1

You have the 500g bag packaging selected. Switch to 1kg and it'll change.

      • Spot on @Jacko1235 I think you've got me covered in a speed typing competition, appreciate the answer assist :)

    • +1

Hey @name not-important appreciate the double check!

I believe you have 1kg in 500g bags AKA 2x500g as opposed to 1kg in a 1kg bag. On the product page you'll see a "packaging" menu, if you change that from 500g bag/s to 1kg bag/s you should see the price drop to $26.39 :)

      • I accidentally ordered 1 kg in 2x500g bags. Please cancel and replace with a 1kg bag and refund the difference. I have messaged you on your web site. Thank you.

        • Hey @mrXO thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it really does mean so much!

No problem, I can edit the product in your order and refund the cost difference. However, the message you sent in the chat box makes no mention of your name, address or order number and the email you've listed to receive replies was not the email used to place your order. As such I'm currently unable to ascertain which order is yours. Could you please send a reply email to your order confirmation so I am sure I'll be editing the correct order?

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks Tom. Order number sent.

            • @mrXO: Appreciate the extra info, received and replied to your message :)

  • Hi Op, What's your recommendation for a less acidic and strong coffee taste for milk-based?

    • Hey @shawshank glad you reached out to check!

Our Brazil SO or SWP Decaf should hopefully be ideal options for you :)

  • Thanks @LimeBlueCoffee.The Kenyan SO is OK and I cant wait to get back to the Brazilian SO. I have realized that I like all things Brazilian:) Lined up my orders.

    • Hi, do you mind sharing, please - Which Kenya SO do you consider “OK”, and which brewing method did you use?

      • i bought both kenyan SO but currently going through the Nyeri Peaberry SO. realised it’s not my favourite. I make an espresso and use it with milk

    • Hey @nektminute appreciate the feedback and I'm very happy to know how much you enjoy our Brazil SO, sounds like your go to coffee is more on the cholate end of the spectrum with lower acidity levels, which is perfect for milk based coffees!

Thank you so much for your recent orders, it's truly appreciated, love the forward thinking too re: "Lined up (my) orders" :)

  • Thanks Tom. Lime Blue have become my go to beans, and the included Tim Tam with the orders is just the cherry on top.
For some reason a single wrapped Tim Tam is so much more desirable in my household.

  • +1 BRA SO. best on ozbargain

  • Can we get standard delivery back for WA? There are only a few postcodes affected by floods now afaik (source)

  • Ordered the Brazil to try. Looking forwards to it. Thanks for the sale.

  • I've been purchasing Airjo for the past 6 months or so and a huge fan of a couple of their blends.

The OB community seem to be fans of Lime Blue so have order 2KG of Brazil.

Look forward to trying it out too!

  • Price gone up for 1kg to $29.99? , Nevermind it used to be $26.39 for bags of 500 gram, for $26.39 you have to purchase 1kg bag.

    • Hey @sybrix appreciate the double check!

Price hasn't changed, I believe you have 500g bags currently selected instead of a 1kg bag. On the product page, under the "packaging" menu, you're able to select between 500g and 1kg bags :)

      1kg in 500g bags AKA 2x500g bags = $29.99
      1kg in a 1kg bag AKA 1x1kg bag = $26.39

      • Thanks ordered

        • Terrific, thank you so much for your order, it's truly appreciated!!!

  • bought 2kg :) i do think brazil ones are the best and i am almost down to my last beans :(

  • Lots of positive reviews here and on your previous posts OP, I am in need of some beans so ordered 2x1kg from here in SA. Looking forward to making some cappuccinos with them… Hopefully they live up to the hype.
    Cheers

  • Brazil the best full of flavour coffee on the planet!

  • Have received my order, promptly and hassle free - plus love the free tim tam as always!

I bought 4 x 500g bags, and freeze 3 of them whilst using the current one; then 24 hrs before needing the next bag I move from freezer to fridge; then to room temp…my question is, given roast coffee is usually best around the ~2 week mark, should I leave these 3 bags out in room temp until that 2 week mark (they were only roasted the other day), before freezing them? Or should I just put them in the freezer straight away?

    • Hey @dammit that's fantastic feedback to receive, thank you so much and we sincerely do appreciate your orders!!!

Nice system, glad you reached out to check, never hurts to ask. You are spot on that around the 1-2 marks post roast date is ideal from a flavor development perspective. If you were proportioning into individual doses I'd say wait before freezing. However, as you're keeping the coffee in the bag it comes down to how long it takes you to go through a 500g bag. If you'd can go through 500g in a couple of weeks then wait 1-2 weeks before freezing, but if it'll take you closer to a month to get through 500g then I'd recommend freezing it as soon as it arrives :)
