Are the lumens for this accurate? And does it come with a lithium battery or not? (Listing is inconsistent.) If so, what battery is it? A 21700? Hard to believe that 3 x AAA can produce so many lumens.

    • +1

yeah its impossible to get the current from 3x AAA to get 10k Lumens. Of course its not ANSI rated. I doubt it would get 1000 lumens from 3x AAA. With a 21700 it is possible to get closer to but under 9k lumen. It would need 20Amps from the battery on the XHP70.2 LED. And that might be for a few seconds, maybe 5s to 10s then it goes down and overheats.

I highly doubt it can hit 3200ft which is 1000m distance. I would say 700m is more realistic, even though TIR can make some good tight hotspot.

    • No. Not even close. According to cree the 70.2 maxes out at 4000 lumens - the advertised light is probably 40 to 200 lumens and not a 70.2

  • The $31 variant is all claimed.

Also doubtful of 10,000 lumen claim.

  • +5

XHP70.2 doesn't hit 10k lumens or 3000ft with that reflector.

Lol lol lol shadowhawk vs. amazon

    10K lumens is a lie.

If you crop the image of the flashlight and upload it to reverse image search you can quickly find that this product is a rebadged flashlight, selling anywhere from $10 ~ $20 USD from AliExpress. You won't get a battery included in most of these listings.

    Aliexpress example 1
    Aliexpress example 2
    eBay example

So if you want basically the same thing for cheaper and don't need a battery probably look into utilizing the upsized Aliexpress + CR 15% cashback tonight.

The generic name of this light is called "Model 1476", and it is advertised at 1500 lumens on Kogan.com and 20,000 Lumens on Amazon USA. So there seems to be a lot of variance on the advertised lumen rating.

After watching this video on Amazon Lumens, I don't believe a single claim

Ah the good ol' chinese lumen, a magical thing.

Spec sheet for that LED, https://assets.cree-led.com/a/ds/x/XLamp-XHP70.2.pdf

Meant to run on 6-12v, whereas 3xAA batteries is going to give it 4.5v

  • Thanks to all the posters pointing out the lumens and Shadowhawk issues!
