  You guys can probably thank me for that price reduction. I've been keeping an eye on the price for weeks as I wanted to get one and I decided 2 days ago to buy a second hand one. The morning after they go straight on sale. :). In saying that I got a hell of a deal on the second hand one.

  Quest 1 is now out of software support and Quest 3 is rumoured for later this year.

  I wouldn’t normally say wait for tech when it’s constantly changing, but these are so expensive and are deprecated so quickly, I think it makes sense to wait.

  Games are typically not backward compatible for long after launch of a new model either.

  This was the price drop from Meta everyone was waiting for?? Seems more like slap in the face. 🙃

  In any case, I was actually hoping for no price drop on Quest 2 after that March 16th date past and nothing happened. Small price drop is still better than big price drop. I am hoping for the Australian market they decided to milk the late Quest 2 buyers, and that hopefully that makes the Quest 3 price slightly lower on release.

  guys 3 is on its way. compact pan cake lenses(like meta pro), powerful processor. pretty much same spec with meta pro (but no eye tracking and no facial express)

    I don't remember my exact numbers but i know i bought a quest 2 at launch. Used it alot for a year or more. Sold it for more than what i paid because of the price increase and just picked up a second hand 128gb perfect condition unit for $300. Pretty happy with that chain of events. :)
