Looking for a TV Deal 75" or 85"

Hi all,

Looking for a 75" or 85" TV deal.

We have a 75" now and the kids recently broke the LCD panel. It still works but degrading every day. We are not watching the TV a lot and we are not movie aficionados.

I don't have a budget per se, looking to maximum $1500.

The Aldi Bauhn 75" looks interesting but there aren't many reviews out there. Could try and take it back? The price is very attractive.

Anyone knows of any good(ish) TV that are 75 or 85 inch and up to $1500?

I'm in Melbourne.

  • There has been an almost insane amount of tv deals in the last 6 weeks….

I personally like this one for $1500ish

    Otherwise, take your Pick:

  • A 2nd or lower end model from a reputable brand would outperform and outlast anything from Bauhn.

This is the best I could find for 75” under $1500:

  • The 75Q60B was going for $1275 not long, insane price.
It should drop again if you can wait for that to happen.

    • $1275 is a fantastic price.
I can wait, but not sure when or if it will drop again.

    • If this is the deal from Betta stores, I bought that, but there were unable to source the stock in the end.

  • The Aldi Bauhn is fine. I have one. Picture is great for static shots but has some banding on light scenes or scenes with fast motions. Nothing the average user would care much about or even notice

    • Thanks.

  • We have a Bauhn, works fine I don't play 4k stuff (yay FTTN) so pic looks good. A bit of a PITA for me to set up my CCWGTV with it as it wasn't on the list at all so I can't switch inputs unless I manually press the TV as I don't have the original remote.

Hisense 75 INCH UDH 4K Smart TV

    Currently $999 incl delivery

    3yr standard warranty

    • Saw this model but can't seem to find any real reviews on it.

  • My choice under $1500 would be:
    75 inch TCL C735 - $1495
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/tcl-75-c735-4k-ultra-hd-q…

Otherwise, there are a few here:

    • Seriously considering 75C735

      • TCL is better than Hisense but still Chinese at the end of the day. This means software glitches will exist so don’t expect it to perform anything like Tier 1 brands as they still have a lot of shortcomings, despite appearing appealing on paper.

        • Modern TCL TVs use Android and Google TV. I don't think there is much TCL specific code in there. However there are HDMI issues with TCL and Hisense TVs, so if you're planning to use a universal remote then there are a few gotchas in there.

TCL 75 inch p735 quhd 4k, regularly drops to 1k or under. Brilliant tv,brilliant picture for movies and tv, and comes with 3 year warranty. Don't get caught up in the big brand hype. Side by side in a store differences can be seen between many TVs but when at home with nothing to compare decent quality ones look awesome. Current at $1095 but drops to 1k regularly. Got mine before Christmas for $960 plus a $100 TCL visa e-card to spend.

You still need to purchase a 75in screen protector to prevent the same problem happening again.

  • Ended up purchasing a TCL 75C735 @ $1325 from https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/index.php?route=product/…

    Decent reviews.
