100% No Caffeine Decaf Coffee Tell Me about It

Member of household needs 100% no caffeine Decaf coffee

Told missus to get some at Woolies.

Missus comes back with $4 jar of what tastes like freeze dried swan river mud.

I tried it also and its bad man real bad.

Is all decaf coffee 100% free of caffeine?

Tell me about real decaf coffee.

I am a decaf drinker. First the cheap brands generally remove caffeine using chemicals. The more expensive brands do it via a water process. (Google how caffeine is removed from coffee).

It does not remove 100% of the caffeine but whatever is leftover is negligible.

Swiss water method vs chemical caffeine neutralisation. Water method tastes better but not 100% caffeine free. Chemical tastes bad, but can get rid of 100%. Not really much of a choice unfortunately.

  • https://www.decafco.com.au. is a good start. Limeblue does a good one. Airjo is popular

These are all beans obviously. If you mean instant then can’t help

  • Re decaf, we only buy Republica decaf coffee at home and I've accidentally had it and not realised immediately because it's quite good. In saying that it's all relative. I normally drink a weak Nescafe gold at home. Anyway it's chemical and caffeine free and worth a try.

    ok

    at woolies.

I can see what comes next

What did you expect? like, honestly, what did you expect?

The problem isn't that she got you decaf coffee, the problem is that it's freeze dried coffee. Even the non-decaf granule coffee is crap.

Is all decaf coffee 100% free of caffeine?

No decaf coffee is 100% free of caffeine, but it's damn close.

Do you have a manual coffee machine or does it have to be granulated?

Honestly this feels like a low effort post that you could have just googled the answers for yourself..

  • Love coffee but try to limit my caffeine intake after lunch, this one gets my vote, it uses the Swiss Water method and is currently on special at Woolworths: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/313811

  • Decaf that tastes good costs a lot more than $4!

My wife likes Decaf Club, specifically Mexico (https://decafclub.com.au/), and the rest of the family likes it at night too.
