vPost Shipping Forwarder Hasn't Shipped Item and Is Non Contactable

I've previously used vPost several times and have always had acceptable experiences up until now. vPost is owned by Singapore Post and is basically the continuation of Australia Post ShopMate under a different name.

A few weeks ago I bought an item in the US and had it shipped to the vPost warehouse. It arrived and was entered into my account. I paid the shipping fee and was given an international tracking number for the delivery to Australia.

The problem is that they didn't actually ship it. Not only does the tracking number have no entries, but even on their website the status is "paid" when it should be "shipped".

I've contacted them via email multiple times with no response. I've messaged them on Facebook and got no reply there either. They've completely disappeared off the face of the planet.

I'm tempted to lodge a credit card chargeback for the shipping fee, but I don't really want a refund, I want the item I bought.

Has anyone used them recently (as in during the past couple of weeks)?

Edit: About 12 hours after making this post, suddenly they emailed me saying it has been shipped and the tracking has updated. Coincidence? Who knows.

    Every courier company has terrible reviews (because people are generally more vocal when things go wrong) but Vpost appear to be something special.

    You may be SOL unfortunately based on above 2 links. Clearly not isolated incidents.

    Or it might magically show up one day! Fingers crossed.

      Most of the bad reviews seem to be related to delays or pricing. My issue is that it's like everybody in the office suddenly died and there's nobody there anymore.

      I received a parcel from them just one or two weeks ago with no issues. The company isn't (or at least wasn't, maybe it is now) a scam. Australia Post used to resell it under ShopMate. It's the exact same thing, even the warehouse address is the same.

    Hi Seanneko, how long does it takes for the website to show that the parcel has been received in your case?
    My parcel showed on UPS parcel as has been delivered but this company said couldn’t find my parcel.
    Looks like this company has becomes a scam.
