  • Hanging for a decent U1000 deal

    • maybe stack with one of the eBay deals ?

  • what's the typical installation fee on a single-camera dashcam? asking for someone who i think got ripped off by another retailer.

the average price is about $120 … but it depends if the store has an on-site fitter or if its a contractor they have to get in to do the work…

      • cheers for that.

      • Hey rep, how do we find out which stores have onsite fitting and which ones have contractors? Cheers

        • would you trust Autobarn onsite fitters?

        • We don't even have a list … I know that some stores share a fitter between them ..

You need to contact your local and ask them .. Sorry

      • This includes hardwiring as well?

        • Depends on the dash camera … some include hardwiring kits .. others don't …

ebay deals dont have click and collect for free so they are not really worth it IMO.

BTW rep any clue when there would a cheap oil in next instore special ( by cheap I mean like 4-5L oil bottle for like <$23) from velocities like anywhere from 5w 30 to 20w-40 (5W-20W winter velocity, and 30-40 summer grade velocity)

we've been having trouble activating the CNC for eBay … otherwise we would have that feature available …
it's something we have been working on with our middleware vendor…
While it is technically possible to convert a delivery to a pickup .. it's a pain in the butt and takes about 5 mins per order. As I am trying to minimise how much time I'm working over Easter .. and don't want to sit here converting a crapload of orders when everyone asks… especially when I'm not getting paid … Sorry :(

Re oil specials .. I don't get looped into the convo as to what is coming up … so it's hard for me to advise. but like .. Oil has gone up in price across the board … even SCA hasn't had an oil under $23 for I don't know how long (that isn't clearance stock) ..

      • Yes. You guys have the best price and now even less.
        I meant …
        Plasti dip!

        • Geez price is like doubled. $32 rrp? Think I was getting these for around $10 a few years ago.

          • @Korban Dallas: I didn’t know they were $10

They’re A$11 in the US now so add gst, exporting and the rest is profits for the people in between.

There may be a tax or fee for toluene

  • So I have to drive to Gladstone to get the battery I want from the Gold Coast.

    Century NS60LSX MF.

    Annoying.

That particular battery isn't a standard type of battery … but the stores can get it direct from Century.
I suggest giving them a call tomorrow and seeing what your options are.
To get it at the cheaper price, you may be required to do a deposit .. but that's something you'll need to discuss directly with the store.

If I type in "Battery" into our back end system .. there is almost 5000 matches. While it includes some which are no longer available … even if you went 1/10 of that number as being valid .. it's literally too many batteries for each store to carry.
Nearly all our stores do have access to the full range from most of the suppliers … It might just take a couple of days (or longer depending on where location/model required) to get the stock in directly from the supplier.

Thanks mate. Went to Bunnings. Who knew they sold batteries? Managed to get this with 36 + 6 extended warranty (registration required). After Powerpass discounts and discounted gift cards ended up being ~$160.

  • Any thoughts on how much storage to get for a dashcam?

Also, anyone know if the Blackvue's come with wiring kit?

get the smallest card possible that's bundled with the camera. you can then buy a better (i.e. samsung pro endurance), larger card if you need it later.
