Timezone Tickets Use Interstate

So I was reading through old Timezone posts etc and have possibly found myself in a pickle. I live in W.A, as such there is a maximum prize limit by Law of $600 or so I believe. Meaning the best prize I can get is currently an XBOX Series S 512gb (100,000) or a pair of Bose 700's (120,000).

I have been saving for a rainy day and have over 100,000 tickets, but I have heard over East there are much better prizes (confirmed by their website) and from my local store that said you could try get better prizes over east.

I read on a previous post that Timezone tickets can't be used interstate :/ Is there any truth to that? Can't find any information through their FAQ, just that they expire after 12 months of inactivitiy.

Second question, if that part is BS, does anyone know if a PS5 is a possible prize and what it costs? I would guess ~160,000 or so as generally the redemption is 200 tickets to $1 of value for major prizes.

Cheers!

Hey. Im from Vic and I have used my tickets in Perth a few years ago so I think you can use them anywhere is Australia. For the ps5. You might have to request it from them and only some stores will do that for you. I would recommend contacting a store or timezone and asking if it's possible. Also if you can only get the Xbox it's just as good as the PS5 imo but just less powerful and no marvel/PS exclusives. That's why I have both.

    • Yeah might just give a store a ring in Vic or something and see what they can do re: PS5.

I just have never got along with XBOX, can't stand the controller and never had one as a kid, always PS1, 2, 3 or Nintendo. I have a Switch currently, otherwise I'd have gotten the OLED Switch which is also 100k tickets.

The really isn't much of a difference between Switch Pro controller and the current Xbox in the way it feels or button layout, in fact Xbox has a much better dpad however as it's a Series S and not X can't say I'd recommend.

Yeah I don't use the switch pro controllers haha. Just the joycons or the N64 controller. Yeah look also wish it was an X but again, limited by the prize value rule in WA.

          • @Pelicannn: Have you tried the newest Xbox controller? I have both Xbox series X and ps5 and the controllers are interchangeable in my experience. The only issue I have is with the switch is the buttons are switched. I would understand if that was an issue

            • @HaydosK: Naar, a mate’s 360 was the last time I played with one. It’s probably been 15 years haha 😂

Out of interest how much do you think you have spent to get 100,000+ tickets?

    • There was an exploit a few weeks ago where you could rack up thousands 😏

Since i started, about $1100 in real dollars, probably closer to $1800ish if you count their free dollars on promos. However, I also only play ticket games that I know I am good at. I can consistently win the quick drop at my local every 2-3 tries. Thats a minimum 600 ticket jackpot and if I get lucky it's sitting at 1000 and hasn't been won by the time I rock up. Ticket Dome can easily rack up 1000s of tickets in a 20-30 min session.

Yes… I understand a PS5 is cheaper to buy outright, but it's a good way to kill my time and I enjoy it. Plus, I am platinum now so I get a nice birthday gift and two games free daily.

No judgement from me. Great work. I expected a lot more.

I have a Timezone Haymarket Sydney pretty close-by. Let me know if can help.

If you happen to walk past and can run in and ask if they have PS5’s for major prizes, otherwise no rush. I’ll give one a call over east in the next few days :)

      • +2

I can certainly do that for you in next day or two. Give me a poke if happen to forget.

Right, so I popped into Timezone Haymarket as promised. The good news is your WA card will work fine but you need to go the counter to get it “synced” with their system before you topup/redeem. All your points carry over just fine and can be ported back to WA stores again too.

All game prizes are listed on https://www.timezonegames.com/en-au/prizes - They don’t hold any stock of expensive items in-store so you may be asked to come back later when they get it for you.

Unfortunately looks like no PS5. Just Switch and Xbox Series S though.

        • Yeah right. So I guess I may as well just claim the XBox here, sell it and use funds to offset PS5.

          Thanks for the help :)

@Pelicannn: Reselling the Switch may be an easier option that Series S frankly. Worth considering. Good luck.

  • You can call head office and request for high value prizes. But I have redeemed prizes from kingpin as well even though I live in Perth. I have requested 2x iPhone 12 Pro back In 2020 @ 360k tickets each. Not sure if they will
    Do it again
