Hungry Jack's Fried Chicken Boneless Pieces

Has anyone tried the new boneless chicken pieces? I have been to 2 stores, the chicken pieces were nothing like the photo.

At first I thought they ran out and used chicken tenders as substitute (KFC does that as well), but their menu doesn't have chicken tenders, so whatever they served must be it.

Quite disappointing to say the least.

Were they soggy messes like the Jack's Fried Chicken burger that I finally gave into temptation to try?

    • Not that, they just don't resemble chicken pieces. More like larger pieces of nuggets.

    • idk about you but i love the fried chicken burgies they're so greasy it hits that "im a digusting fat (profanity)" spot just right

but yeah these pieces you get 3 for $9 and the bacon cheese jacks fried chicken burger is $12 (and you get 2 pieces of the chicken on that) may as well go for the burger

  • Burger Tec sell good boneless chicken, they might be an SA only business. I don't think it's hard to make boneless chicken, though the price they charge you'd think they tore the wings off Garuda.

Looks absolutely terrible for the price - I also went on their socials and saw some posts and photos by others. Definitely not even close to the marketing photos

    • For $3 with the sauce it doesn't look like a bad alternative to chicken nuggers tbh.

      • I think it's $3 a piece haha

        • Oh, that's not any better than nuggers.

    • That confirms it, basically what everybody got, nothing like the photo.

The coating was burnt in my try. I do really like how it's unblended chicken inside though. I also really like their fried chicken burgers for the same reason.

    • The chicken in their burgers are better.

It's like you go to a fish and chips shop, they show you photos of battered fish but give you crumbed fish.

  • I tried the chicken when it first came out and thought they'd replaced the chicken with nuggets. Never again.

  • Tried these the other day and I completely agree, they’re disappointing. Read through some comments on Facebook under an ad for them and lots of people seem to agree.

In the ads they look like they’re coated in a crispy batter, but in actuality they seem to be crumbed. They taste like cheap nuggs you get in the frozen section at the supermarket and chuck in the oven for 20 minutes.

    Doubt they will last long.
